The AC1104 is Ideal for dusting, inflation, air brushing, stapling finish nailing and can operate air ratchets, small impact wrenches, air hammers & spray guns. In addition, the powerful 2HP AC1104 is strong enough to operate small grinders & sanders. It's 11 Gallon, compact vertical tank takes up less space in your garage or shop. A top rubber grip handle and 6 inch oversized wheels makes it easy to move from one job to the next. Operating at 6 CFM @ 40 PSI & 4.8 CFM at 90 PSI, this small compressor packs a punch! Automatic thermal protection overload guards against low voltage drops and power surges. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great compressor; however... Love that there are wheels on it, but I'd almost replace tye front rubber pad with a swivel wheel. As well, the handle...maybe a little taller, but definately would have hooks to wrap a hose around. When it starts up, it almost sounds like its a cold start everytime -slow engine....it sounds like its out of oil... These issues aren't really issues though.. The compressor is very convenient with the wheels and it's a power house for the size...

My brand new one purchased in May 2016 broke after 3 times of using. The manufacturer's 2-year warranty is a joke, very horrible customer services I have ever encountered. It took a month for them to arrange a return pick up, then it is just a pickup, still no replacement machine delivered after 2 months. I would give them zero star if there is a choice. Go with other brand name, don't bother deal with the customer services at General International, they don't treat customers seriously and honestly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Welds Failed I noticed that it was shaking and rattling when I turned it on yesterday. I've had it for just 5 months and use it infrequently. I shut it down and located a mount screw that have backed out. I replaced it and restarted. Still a lot of shake, rattle and movement. Upon closer examination I noticed that two of the four welds that hold the mount to the tank had failed. The compressor itself seems to be of good quality. Just a shame that the supporting structure was not. HD was good about standing behind the product and helping me find a suitable replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Air Compressor With Impressive Performance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I perform lots of maintenance on automobiles and home projects and have the need for a medium-sized air compressor. I decided on the General International 11 Gallon 2 Hp Oil-Lubricated Portable Vertical Air Compressor. After using the air compressor on several tasks, I am very satisfied with it’s performance. Although only rated at 115 psi, the General International 11 Gallon Air Compressor has a very powerful 2 Hp motor, and provides an extremely fast recovery time. I clocked the recovery time from 85 psi to 115 psi at only about 35 seconds. The oil-lubricated motor also delivers an impressive 4.8 SCFM @90 psi, which will support most commonly used air tools. It’s also quieter than comparable oil-less compressors. If you are in the market for an air compressor for use around the home, or small industrial use, consider the General International 11 Gallon Oil-Lubricated Vertical Air Compressor. Highly Recommended!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good size tank with ample power for most jobs. Handle vibrates, but noise level is less than expected. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After removing the air compressor from its box, I noticed the nuts, bolts and washers required to attach the wheels and rubber stabilizer were rolling around loose inside the bottom. Although a portion of the box was saturated with oil, there was a puddle of oil dribbling down the top of the tank, and one of the pressure gauges was partially filled with oil, the included plastic bottle, resembling a water bottle, containing lubricating oil did not appear to be leaking. Since the compressor is shipped without oil installed in the crankcase, I don’t know where all the oil came from, but it’s probably not supposed to be this way. The included multilingual instructions contained no illustrations, and the written information wasn’t very detailed, but it was useful enough to aid in the assembly and operation of the compressor. Half the bottle of included oil fills the crankcase reservoir to the proper level for operation. Then install the breather and air filter. The air compressor is powered by a push/pull switch at the top of the tank, which is easily accessible. The handle vibrates violently during operation, but the compressor remains stable and, while not exactly whisper-quiet, it’s not as loud as I expected it to be. At 75 lbs., this air compressor is not as portable as the trim air compressor I use for indoor work, and due to the noise level is more suited for use in a garage or outdoors. Large 6-inch wheels allow you to easily maneuver the air compressor around the job site. With a 2HP motor and 11 gal. tank, this air compressor is suitable for use with heavy torque drivers, grinders, impact tools, finish/siding/framing/coil nailers, tire inflating, surface dusting and paint sprayers. The compressor charges the tank to ~115 psi in under 3 minutes, and you set an on-unit regulator to your desired output psi. For such a large capacity tank, I was surprised this compressor is only able to power one tool at a time, and the unit could have been better boxed, but operation has been flawless with no issues whatsoever. Additionally, I am very pleased with the location of the on/off switch and the inclusion of an air filter to prevent debris from working its way into the piston head. Minor quirks and issues aside, overall, I’m very satisfied with this air compressor and recommend it. While not as refined as my black and yellow brand air compressor, it'll do the job. If you only have one air compressor, this air compressor with a 2HP motor and 11 Gal tank will handle the majority of your needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for I was looking for a smaller upright style air compressor that could do a wide variety of home type jobs. This was the only compressor under 20gallons I could find that states it can do nearly 5cfm so I took a chance. So far I have not been disappointed. The 2hp motor fills the 11 gallon tank quickly. It a full tank of air over night with no leaks. It runs a framing nailer with no problems. It ran an impact wrench to rotate my tires like a dream. I have not tried it with a disk grinder but I suspect that the 11 gallon capacity will not be enough to run that for anything but very short bursts. There are a few very minor issues I have that caused me to mark it down 1 star. Minor things like the gauge is hard to read and should be angled slightly up for better viewing. It is also very noisy and vibrates the handle violently. I worry that the vibration may some day cause the handle welds to crack. Overall though I am very happy with the purchase. It fits my needs perfectly. I have already recommended it to several friends who are "weekender" handymen.
