The maintenance free C-channel rail provides quiet performance and a clean line appearance. Genie screw drive operators are designed to perform in the harshest weather condition, operating at -40 degrees Celsius and unaffected by wind chill. This opener includes an innovative power head light that places lighting to the rear of your garage where needed most.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Powerlift 900 This opener is a piece of junk! The reason I bought a Genie Screw Drive is because 30 years ago I purchased my first opener a Genie Screw Drive that worked flawlessly for 30 years until the motor bushing wore out. This purchase was a bad mistake however. Since 1984 the product has been cheapened considerably. After I had programmed the device I was horrified to see that on closing the garage door, the screw channel arcs upward several inches and distorts considerably under the factory-set force settings. When the door is raised the channel drops and straightens out. With that amount of movement I don't expect the unit to last very long. I can't understand that the designers of this product would think that this was OK. Don't buy this unit.

The Genie patented Direct Drive screw is really the best drive design available because it's the most reliable, doesn’t have extra gears to wear out, and is powerful. For all of these reasons this is a great opener for heavy large doors and peace of mind knowing that it will operate reliably for years to come. It's MAINTENANCE FREE! No tensioning of a drive chain or belt required and no lubrication required either for the life of the opener. Also, a great complete accessory package included with two 3 button remote, a multi-function wall console, and a wireless entry keypad for added convenience. Easy to assemble, great instructions, and fine quality craftsmanship from Genie....awesome value....thanks Genie!
