Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed! I bought this last year March while doing a complete bathroom reno because I needed a mirror that could be installed in the wall. LOVE the design and storage space and the glass shelves are perfect. BUT, within 5-6 months the mirror got mirror rot or desilvering (black edges) and it has just gotten worse over time. It would be an easy change if it was mounted on the wall, but, that's not the case. This was not a cheap mirror. I paid $299 not the $249 it is now, so for the money I'd think the quality should be better. The last mirror I had (bought at Home Depot) lasted 15 years before that happened. Not impressed!!!

In less than a year the mirror edges are turning black - desilvering. 2 years in it looks like it needs to be replaced. Time to look into the "limited lifetime warranty" - if they cover it, I will update.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too Much Mirror Prepare your self before opening this bad boy. There is a lot of mirror. The front of the doors are 100% mirror. Inside of the doors, yep mirror. The back wall, all mirror. The sides can't be mirror can they? No..... but wait there is mirror covers for them. Once installed you're looking at 99% mirror. If you open the doors all the way you will be looking at yourself in roughly 6 feet of mirror.

The first two similar products that I purchased from a different retailer I had to return because of damage during shipping. Easy to install. I appreciated the package that was labeled spare parts. I had to use a couple of them. We love the rugged and easily adjustable hinges, and all the mirrors inside, outside and the ends. My first Glacier Bay purchase but it will not be the last.

I could not use the plastic wall plugs that came with the unit, they are useless in drywall. It appears the shelf supports are supposed to be 2-piece, yet this is NOT clear in the installation manual. Two packages were included with the cabinet, all top halves. I cannot install the shelves until I get the bottom half of the clips. We'll see how long that takes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good except for the shelves Just installed this today and I was happy with it right up until the last step to install the shelves, the shelves should be like half an inch or more longer is a better fit and they have big black text of some Chinese comapny that manufactured the shelves (NOT a sticker!). Why is this here? It's ugly and at this price unacceptable, wish I could post a picture. Otherwise I was happy with the product and installation process, but we will see how it holds up over time.

Attention to finishing touches is impressive; mirrors on side for surface mount, black rubber plugs to hide holes inside unit where there is no shelf, black plastic covers to cover screws inside. Inside back panel is mirrored as well. Disagree with other review that you cannot see back of head. As previous reviewer said, looks high end and in my view is high quality for price. DEFINITELY recommend. Thinking of buying smaller one to put above toilet.

I have a 36" vanity flush to wall on one side. How close to that wall can I install recessed and still allow the door to open? Will a quarter inch be enough space?

Hi, Thank you for your Question. It is recommended to leave the space clear out for the door open. 36 inches may be the safest distance to avoid the door from slamming on the wall when to open it.

how does this open and close? is there a lip to grab onto, or do you have to push the glass to open it, and leave a fingerprint each time?

Is it possible to install two of these Glacier Bay medicine cabinets, side by side and close together, and still open the doors? What is the smallest gap required to do this? Can they be installed tightly together with no gap at all between the units?

Yes and it looks amazing! Mine have a 'gap' no bigger than the 'gap' where the doors meet, so it's a smooth, even look. . The bevelled edges give it a beautiful detail, making the 'joint' seem part of the mirrors.

The doors make an awful creaking sound when we close them. I'm assuming this means we need to adjust the hinges, but the instructions don't make sense to us. Is the cam adjuster the inner most screw? Is it both the far back none snd hidden one?
