We were led to believe that they would send a new cartridge and we would receive it in 5-7 days. 5 days later, we got a call telling us to take it back to Home Depot, so we did. There were none in stock, so we had to order a new one. When we got it installed, the cartridge leaked on this one as well. Not only is the product disappointing, the customer service we received from the 1-800 was not great. I do not recommend this product at all.

The shower itself dumps water on you, it's a good rainfall, but functionality is absolutely worthless given the quality of the fittings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shower head Looks great, wand and head are plastic which is fine for the price. The attachment at the diverter is not very firm even when screwed on tight to the wall mount. The whole unit wiggles a little when switching the diverter valve, which makes it feel cheap. Hose is stiff and does not hang loose. Maybe it will after it warms up from the water and gets worked in a bit. Great price and you get what you pay for. The loose attachment is the only reason for the 4 star, considering that it is an economy shower head.

A rough-in valve was not included. What rough-in valve, or other components, are needed to install?

This is a shower head replacement only. This does not include a mixing valve or tub Filler. If you have an existing shower nothing extra should be needed. If it's new construction, a shower unit is required in addition to this. Be careful when installing that when you assemble the unit that any sets crews are backed all the way out of the holes. If not, they'll catch the on and Nick the o rings which will cause a leak. It's handy to have spares. Hope this is helpful.

The pipe (A) leaks at the junction where it is fitted to the side bar (E) even when the set screw (DD) is thight. Is this a known problem and how can it be fixed?

Can this unit be used to replace an existing showered only? We want to keep the diverter and just use this unit instead of the old shower head. Will it attach to directly to the Brass threaded 90 behind the wall where the existing shower arm is connected?

yes, this mounts into existing shower head. you should double check the distance from mixing valve (handle) up to shower head as this has a long arm and may prevent you from installing it.

Since this goes on the Shower Head line, you will need the rest of the Tub/Shower or a Shower Only valve assembly.
