It’s incredibly strong and durable, adjustable height so I can use it as a standing desk, and yet still looks really nice. I’m very happy with the quality and appearance of the table.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Using As A Desk I purchased this to use as a desk in my home office (running a business from home). I have paired it with a couple of IKEA drawers and hung my computer tower underneath using a heavy duty bracket. The only thing I wish I'd have realized before purchasing was how far in the legs are from the ends of the table. It turned out that I didn't have enough room to put the drawers and the computer underneath on the inside. I have the computer inside and put the drawers to the outside, which works, but isn't ideal. If I'd have realized that I might have gone up to the 8' table, which might have been perfect. Might upgrade and use this elsewhere at a future date. But this thing seems pretty indestructible, yet looks good as well! It might not work in all offices, but as an architectural designer I can handle a little bit of an industrial feel. Glad I found this b/c I love my new setup!

I'd like to install a leg vise and a tail vise on this workbench. However, the photos don't show how the tabletop is supported, so I can't tell whether either will be possible. Is there C-tubing underneath all four edges? Or flat stringers?

Asked by: Mike
Hello, Thank you for reaching out to the Whirlpool central advisor team! Regarding your question, it's a flat stringers table. If you have more questions or need more assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to us via our live chat on: https://www.gladiatorgarageworks.ca/ Best, Whirlpool Advisors

Can one person adjust the height by themselves, or is it a two-person job?

Can one person adjust the height by themselves, or is it a two-person job?
Asked by: Kristin
If you unload the workbench first this can be manageable. If you weigh less than 100lbs you might have some trouble I suppose. But here is my suggested method. With the workbench standing as normal sit on your knees at one end of the workbench next to one of the leg assemblies. Use your quads (tops of your legs) as support under the workbench crossbars. Adjust by single increments or holes. No tools required. The fastening nuts are molded into a plastic wing. They only need to be finger tight.

Can someone please let me know the exact dimensions of the wood surface? (including fractions of an inch if applicable) and also the distance from the front of the leg to the front edge of the wood surface as I want to mount a vise as close to the front left edge as possible and want to see if it will clear the leg based on where the bolts are. Thanks!!

Would the workbench still be usable without the back plate? Using as a computer desk, nothing over 150 pounds will be added
Asked by: MAC
As far as I can tell, the backplate is for stability, but not necessary. It's the last thing you put on, and the legs are plenty strong without them
