Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this paint I went to Home Depot the rep was very helpful but she kept pushing the Behr paint, but I wanted something less expensive, so I picked up the Glidden. After using it I now understand why she was showing me the Behr. I used Glidden base coat and it still took 3 coats to cover my kitchen cabinets which were just plain wood before hand. After waiting 2 days to paint after the base coat, it was like the base coat was melting into the paint when I applied as it was lifting off. I waited several hours and re painted, what a horrible paint. I was using a fine roller and yet I could still see the shadow of the wood underneath. There is no way I would buy this paint ever again! I'm going to have to spend the higher price for Behr from now on.

Had a 5 gallon pail of this paint that was going to waste so I used it in place of primer. Completely covered everything in two rolls. If I wanted my rooms white I could leave it as is without using a primer first. Best paint I have ever used at any price. As a primer, we'll see after I buy some more of this paint, tinted to the colors I want for the final coats.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ugh, I have to repaint! After reading other reviews, I decided to buy this paint for the living room. Had my colour all picked out, but then was informed that Home Depot doesn't use Glidden colours, they use CIL colours so had to figure out a different one. At first I thought it was fine, but after several days I noticed that there were textured parts (like little balled up old paint bits) and that where I had patched, sanded and primed spots shone out like they were highlighted. Fingerprints and spills showed up really strongly and were still there after I cleaned them off (all this after 3 coats!) Unfortunately it looks like I will have to repaint the whole room again, definitely with a different brand of paint. So disappointed.

I found the quality to be as good as any higher price paints. The next time I have a painting project, I'll be doing the "Glidden Glide" with Glidden Vantage!

Thought it may have been my sprayer but I switched the paint out with beauty tone and it sprayed and covered very well. Waste of time and money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Choose Another Brand I am renovating a large three and a half bedroom and a two bedroom condo, painting all walls and ceilings. I have used several different brands of paint, most recently Glidden Premium in my dining room. I could tell that this was going to be a nightmare as soon as I started cutting in. It spread SO thin that it didn't come close to hiding the colour beneath, which is crazy when using a beige to cover a slightly different hue of beige. I had to cut in and paint the corners FOUR TIMES just to get the same results as the cheap big box store paint I used to paint a bathroom (then painting over that with a better quality paint). Three coats on the wall and I will need two more to finish the job, which is ridiculous for any brand, let alone one that feels comfortable putting the word "Premium" on this HORRIBLE quality paint. Note: The paint was shaken thoroughly at Home Depot, then mixed thoroughly again with a drill and paint mixing attachment. I also stirred the paint thoroughly as I went along, so consistency on my end was not the problem. I also used high grade 3/8" rollers and high quality brushes meant for the type of paint I was using and have a great deal of experience painting as well, so I feel confident in the accuracy of my review. No other paint (aside from the one previously mentioned) gave me such poor results, and I have used several to base my comparison on. This was no cheap paint, so the money I wasted and the great deal of valuable time needed to complete the job when I have so much work left to do is very frustrating and disappointing to say the least.

Does anyone know if this paint (Glidden Vantage Interior Semi-Gloss) is considered Low VOC or Zero VOC? Can't find this info on the Glidden website or anywhere else on the web. Seems to be a Home Depot Canada specific line.
