I think it works best for me at my desk. I love the fact this can be plugged in to an outlet. I honestly hate messing with wiring so the plug addition is perfect for me. Of course, it can be hardwired if that is preferred. The cord is long enough to reach my outlet and still have the light up high on the wall. The on/off switch on the cord is convenient. It's very simple to attach to the wall with the provided screws. This is the perfect wall sconce for anyone wanting a simple style that matches pretty much any decor.

First, the fixture and be hardwired although it’s provided with a cord. We were surprised to see wiring joined with wire connectors when installing and really wish this was better contained. The non-grounded plug also looks like a plug that was a replacement - not as polished as a traditional cord. The light is doing fine so far. The constructability seems to be holding up, but still is concerning.

This light is very durable and stays secure to the wall once hung up. The light is adjustable which was a really great feature. This is an amazing light for my home!
