The app helps walk you thru the process but if you hit a dead end then your on your own. The camera, app and the features really are nice but I found them to difficult to get any of these features going. My wife downloaded the app but we could not figure out how she can get the camera feature and all like I had on.my phone onto hers. Seems like only one.person can have usage to the app and video camera.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second camera doorbell I’ve tried. The camera is quite good with a bit wider angle lens than the other brand, so that’s a plus. The installation, on the other hand, was more difficult for this one. The screws intended to attach the base to the angled plate were too short so I had to ream out the countersunk holes. Once done, they barely held. The biggest difficulty is with the app however; the setup isn’t intuitive and the instructions are lacking. Trying to add my wife to have access required quite a bit of searching. In the end, nice hardware and picture with difficult instructions.

The doorbell/camera was easy to install because we had an existing doorbell so it was super simple but I honestly cannot give it a real rating because we have not been able to use it because we cannot get the app, the camera, and the internet to work together. Support is useless. I have emailed twice,called,and gone on their website to no avail. I'm sure it's a good enough camera but without the app we'll never know. If they reach out to us to assist us I'll go back and change the review.

I was surprised how easy that it was to install. I like that it comes with everything that you need for the installation. The camera is really stable and has amazing clarity. I like that feature the most. The camera has for you to be able to respond back like most of these brands can. You just need to download the app and follow the set up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it over all so far. I am not real smart phone savy, but I was able to get through the Globe App installation with relative ease. It walks you through the installation. The door bell replacement was simple. You will need a very small #1 Philips screwdriver, that is not included, to wire up this device to the door bell wires. The instructions were simple enough. Getting online or in App help lacks a great deal. Specific FAQ for this product is severely lacking and I do not like having to call for support. The 'Support' section on their web site is you filling out your contact information and a box for your question. You will need a photo of your receipt. There is a toll free number. No chat available. I don't know how private/secure this product is. It needs a digital theft deterrent. Seems weather proof enough. Takes a nice image. Alert sensitivity has 3 modes. There is a learning curve as there are features to learn. So far, so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second video doorbell I've tested. I must say that this one is a little better than the last one. Installation was pretty straightforward. If the space behind your doorbell is rather limited as mine was, you can solder the connections onto the old wires or just wrap the old house wires around the 2 screws on the back of the video doorbell. Note that you may need to upgrade your doorbell's transformer to use any new video doorbell. I got one online and installed it. If your transformer is older, it may only be 16 volts as mine was. You might need to upgrade to 24 volts because video doorbells need more electricity to run the camera, audio, and motion detection. I had a hum in the chime of ours until I replaced the transformer too. they're not hard to replace, but be sure you have the right circuit turned off to the doorbell. If you're not sure, turn off the main breaker at the top of your breaker box before proceeding. You may need a flashlight to replace the old transformer with the new one if you do that. There is also a little white resistor box with wires you'll need to install in the chime box of your doorbell. Not sure exactly what it does, but it's very easy to add. If you're installing on the front door, you'll loosen the middle and left of the 3 screws in your chime. If you're installing on the back door it will be the middle and right terminals that you'll attach the connectors to. that part is simple and you don't even need to turn the breaker off to do that part. There's not enough electricity at that point to hurt you. the video quality is very good, as is the motion detection. You can also talk to whomever is at the door and they can talk to you as well. very nice. I did have a little trouble with getting my wife's phone set up to share the access, but after playing around with it for a while we got them both to work. I actually had to turn the motion detection down, because it would go off if someone drove by about 75' away. The notification is nearly immediate, so you shouldn't miss anyone at the door no matter where in the world you are. This doorbell stays connected better than the other one I tried. The screw in the bottom of the mount keeps it in place at all times. If you want a video doorbell, I think you'lll be happy with the Globe doorbell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Globe Electric Smart WI-FI doorbell Model 50137 has a truly clear 130-degree 1080p picture that is sent in real time to my mobile phone anytime a person approaches my front door doorbell/camera unit. The unit also has a night vision feature that is effective during the dark evening hours. The 1-way incoming video plus the 2-way talk features allows you to safely and remotely communicate with people that are at your front door without you having to be physically present. This remote feature is especially helpful when you are not home. The installation was rather easy and straight forward. All you need is a #1 Phillips screwdriver for attaching the doorbell/camera switch and a small, slotted screwdriver for attaching wires to the inside doorbell unit. The doorbell/camera unit is powered by a standard 16-24 VAC doorbell transformer that is already used to power the doorbell that you already have in use. As an option, with a voltmeter, I tested my transformer’s output which was 20 volts AC and the unit worked just fine. The manufacturer’s instructions were generally clear except for explaining that you must supply a micro SD card and place it in the doorbell/camera unit if you want to store photos. As an installation tip, I used some sandpaper to remove the oxidation on the wires so there would be good electrical contact between the wires and the doorbell/camera unit. It is important to note that when downloading the Globe Suite App on your mobile phone, you must allow for “notifications” so you can be notified when motion is detected at the doorbell/camera unit. The unit is made in China and the manufacture offers a 2-year warranty. All in all, Globe Electric manufactures an excellent smart Wi-Fi doorbell unit.
