Rated 1 out of 5 by from Foam dries inside within 2 hours I bought this gun. I like the high quality metal construction. First used it with half a can, closed the gun very tight, left for about 2 hours. When I came back no foam came out of the gun. After watching the youtube, I opened the pressure chamber and found the foam cured and dry. I had to clean it and the gun tip. Now I do not want to go through the disassemble and clean every time. Instead, I do not leave the foam can with the gun. Remove the foam can and clean both foam can and the gun with the cleaner. Spending more on the cleaner now. I am not sure if this is economical. I do not know how to leave it for 30 days, while it dries within an hour or two.

Is this gun able to accept all 'Great Stuff' cans?

Or only the professional series? Is this gun able to be stored on the can for a month, or does it need to be removed and cleaned right away after use?

All of the PRO Series products are applied with a GREAT STUFF PRO™ foam dispensing gun. All GREAT STUFF PRO™ foam dispensing guns are designed to create an airtight and moisture-tight seal between the gun and the can. This prevents the foam from curing and blocking the dispensing valve, letting you reuse the can for up to one month. When storing foam, always keep a gun securely attached to the top of the can.

Can the Great Stuff dispenser gun accept polyurethane foam canisters from ofher manufacturers, specifically, LePage?

While the product supplier 'recommends' that you use THIER product, the can to gun interface is common to all of the many different products I have used, so yes, you can use canisters from other manufactures and I can say from direct experience that LePage is one of them. That said, I find my Hilti brand guns to be far superior to the Great Stuff gun, and LePage foam to be worst I've ever used. For the DIY guy you can't go wrong with this gun and Great Stuff foam.
