With a money back guarantee I figured I couldn't lose. I poured it into a sink of standing water and waited until bedtime. It looked like nothing had happened so I added the other application. (There are two.). The next morning the sink was still full of standing water but I remembered that it said to add extremely hot water to flush the drain. I poured a dishpan full of hot water into the dirty water. There was a whoosh and the dirty water rapidly poured into the drain and cleared out. I continued to flush the drains with hot water just to be sure. Maybe some people forgot to follow with a pail of hot water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle Drain Cleaner Saw the commercial for this product the other day, so I decided to give it a try. This stuff is a miracle and well worth the money. I used in different drains. First drain was draining slow but not drastic, so I used half of one application. I left it sit for a couple hours then poured a small bowl of boiling water to start the process, then left the hot water running to finish up. The other sink had a serious slow drainage problem. I used the whole application it set for about 3 hours flushed with boiling water and it started draining much better. I added the rest of my previous application to this sink, let sit to make sure it was draining with no issues. It was a success. I will recommend this product to everyone.

My tub was draining poorly and I knew the clog had to be somewhere down the line, as there was no apparent clog locally with the zip it snake. I didn't want to call a plumber on a holiday weekend or pour chemicals down my pipes and kill my trees. I found Green Gobbler!!! It's derived from plants and it's biodegradable! I called the customer service line while at Home Depot and they assured me that it was safe for my plants. It worked! I ended up with a baseball sized wad of hair and soap scum at the end of all of this! Fingers crossed my trees survive.

I really hated to use a chemical on my pipes in my 1955 house, but I ran the manual auger (with little results) and am trying to resolve this without a plumber as it can happen again and again. I did the vinegar and baking soda trick, which I have since learned can be bad for pipes as well. Regardless, it states to pour all of one chamber in the drain. I kind of did this in stages hoping a little would work. Bottom line, I wound up pouring all of the chamber in two sessions. It did make a difference although I'm not sure I'm at 100%. I'm sure the next chamber is probably not too far away. It says 'safe for pipes', I hope they aren't lying.

So I have had my shower drain clogged for a day, used my auger and plunger. Went to buy this, took it home, used it by the directions and nothing. Nothing happened. Still clogged. So I poured the second side of the container down as directed and waited overnight. Again poured hot water over it and the drain. Nothing. Had to call a plumber. I give this product one star. It also ate my caulking and grout from around the shower.Severely ate it away. I will be caulking and grouting my shower this weekend. Use at your discretion. I will be taking it back to Home Depot for the money back guarantee.

Our landlord and plumber tried snaking as well as sulfuric chemicals and could only get the tub to drain slightly faster. After reading reviews I asked my husband to try this. We needed two overnight applications (with boiling hot water in the morning) and my tub is draining the way it should!!!! I HIGHLY recommend!

I wanted to wait a few months to see if Green Gobbler worked for longer than a few weeks. YES, the bathroom drain is still running like a new. The only thing I did that I suggest is to run boiling water down the drain a few times to really flush the dissolved gunk out of the pipes. I only had to use one measured application and have he second of another drain when needed. Totally worth the money and will recommend to friends.

my tub fills with water during a shower. my bathroom sink has standing water. I took the trap apart and no obstruction. how can I clear the drains?

I had the same problem. The obstruction was further down the drain. I poured one side of Green Gobbler down the drain and let it sit overnight for about 8 hours. I then boiled multiple pots of water and carefully poured them into the sink. Within two pots the clog was gone. I then did a few more pots of boiling water just to make sure. The drain has been working perfectly ever since. I have the other remaining side of Green Gobbler for issues with other drains in the house. This stuff works as advertised.

Yes, you can use this Green Gobbler in the garbage disposal. However, the pipe from the disposal is usually very small so I would use half only of the one side to the twin bottle. Then let it sit in the pipe as long as possible then flush with hot water to see that it drains out. Then with water running into the disposal turn it on.
