Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good upgrade from a Palm Nailer We purchased this nailer for installing joist hangers on floor systems. The nailer performs like a palm nailer with an auto feed magazine of collated nails. The nailer drives perfectly, but the auto feed magazine is a disappintment. The difference between this nailer and a framing nailer, besides the repetitive hit, is the necessity for the nail to protrude beyond tip to align the nail with the holes in the joist hanger. This is where the tool fails. We first tried to use the nailer with glued nail strips, and could not get the feed system to work at all. With paper nail strips, the feed system worked until we had 4-5 nails left on the strip. At this point, the nails would twist in the magazine and stop feeding. It would be necessary to add another strip to get the feed system to work. Overall, it beats a palm nailer, but could use some improvement on the nail feed system.
