Midway through a kitchen "refresh" trying to enhance the kitchen I have without yet doing the full renovation on my 80's kitchen. First off, stained the oak cabinets (and even the oak veneer!) in Behr "Russet" stain and swapped out all the old black hardware with brushed nickel finish pulls (http://www.homedepot.ca/product/3-inch-centre-hole-satin-chrome-finish-arch-pull/971713). Decided on these stunning curtains to replace the nasty green vertical fabric blinds that came with our house when we bought it. Love, love, love the new look!! Everyone thinks we renovated the kitchen but really it was all under $400 to completely modernize the look. It took a few weeks of putting at it, but totally was worth the effort. Next up (in a few years) - the real kitchen reno when we knock down walls and reconfigure. ;)

Rated 2 out of 5 by Gridlock from Looks are deceiving They look fine in the package.. it's only when you pull them out, hold them up to a sunny window that you find out that the nice semi shiny grey turns into a featureless beige. You'll need blackout curtains BEHIND these to block any light.
