Rated 4 out of 5 by from Farmington hard top gazebo Great product Solid Looks good A few things to be aware of 1. Check measurements carefully 10 by 12 is the roof size Poles closer together 2. No way you could assemble with one person Took Two of us guys 6 hrs to assemble and we worked straight through. 3. Need an electric drill with Phillips bit A number 10 ratchet would also have been handy. So many screws The wrenches included wore down by the end. 4. Be very careful not to let parts get scratched A couple of drop sheets would be handy. 5. Need a fair bit of room to assemble Also initial package is 375 lbs May need to unpack at delivery point and move to location in pieces. Overall it was worth it Love it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gazebo! We purchased this gazebo 2 months ago and it's been fantastic! I don't usually take negative reviews to seriously as there are just some people you can't please. As long as you assemble CORRECTLY and make sure you use all the screws provided, and screw securely to your deck then you should have no issues. We live in the country and have excessive winds regularly. Other than a little rattling noise from time to time during high winds, the gazebo is strong and secure. I was expecting the rain to cause alot of annoying noise on the top of the gazebo, and to my surprise it does not. We added linen drapes to block the sun and add a touch of ambiance. So far we love it, and it's worth the money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the price - But moderate your expectations.. I ordered it online, and I'm happy to say it arrived undamaged with all the parts I needed. Overall, for under $1000 its worth it, had I paid more I'd be sorely disappointed. Things you need to be aware of... - If you opt to install it yourself, It's a 2 person job & best if you have a ratchet - Hole alignment wasn't much of an issue if you don't over tighten until the end - Speaking of DO NOT over tighten even at the end or risk snapping screws - sub par finish chipped in spots when screws were being put in - Get ready to paint this in a year or two because of that poor finish - Once assembled it looks great Summary Ultimately, I'm happy with the purchase, and I'm hoping get many many years of use out it, knowing It will need some maintenance now and then.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's beautiful, spacious and easy assembly! Oh my word! I am so in love with this gazebo! It's a beautiful, easy-to install (we had 3 people, 2 that stayed on the ladders and one that handed the pieces to them, but could easily be done with 2 people). Instructions were really clear. It's a good quality, exactly what I was looking for! I found fabric shower curtains to use as well for the side that the sun was coming in on. The mosquito netting is wonderful! I love sitting out in it when it is raining, too! We have fastened it to the deck as recommended. I am looking forward to many summers of enjoyment under my new outdoor oasis!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid gazebo - so so quality control Bought this gazebo at Home Depot and happy with the service there. Be prepared to spend 2 days building it and here are a few manufacturing issues that were frustrating but fixable. I found a hole not drilled on one post where you have to screw in the base-drilled it out myself but will have to paint it to prevent rusting. 4 missing holes in the upper framework that you would not find until you are standing on a ladder trying to secure the panels-that sucked but I drilled myself and then used stainless steel screws to hold down the panels-not fun. The instructions say that the upper and lower panels hook into each other but done waste too much time trying to make that work like I did!. It barely matters anyway because once you put the beam covers on top it makes not difference at all anyway. Once complete it is a great gazebo! Happy building!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No bugs! Got what I expected. Good value for the money. Stands up to the weather and I don't have to take it down every year. No issues with snow load. It just slides off. Assembled it myself, with the occasional extra set of hands, in two leisurely days. Just the right amount of play in the preset holes to allow for minor variance in level and squareness. No issues with the H/W. Extra parts are provided. Would be nice if it came with screening around the small upper roof but none of them do and I added my own without any problem. As with all these products if you scratch the surface they will rust so when you do just cover with any touch-up paint.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible if I could give this 0 stars I would! didn't last one storm. what is worse, they did not even honour the warranty. not to mention that it took 9 months for them to even answer my warranty claim. there was clearly a defect in the product and they failed to replace it or give compensation for all the trouble. will never purchase a Hampton Bay product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Building the Gazebo I was told it would take four guys costing me about $600 to put it together. But I did it myself in a couple of days. (My wife held a post once, but that was it.) It's brilliant engineering. All the bolts, etc. were included and fit perfectly. The parts were very well labelled. The only issue I had was the instructions were badly written. But if you stop and think about the next step, you can consider what they said, then ignore it and do it your way. Over all a great product.

Can I buy/add privacy curtains for this gazebo?

Asked by: JMFT
Hi, Thank you for your question. Yes, you can buy privacy curtains in the size 10*12 for the gazebo, however, the vendor does not sell them.

Hi, We would like to know if there is netting/screening between the 2 levels of the roof?

Asked by: Nancy
Hi Nancy, There is no netting between the 2 levels of the roof. If you have a problem with mosquitos in your area, they will get in from the roof and from the space at the top of the netting that comes with the gazebo.

Hi what do I need to secure the gazebo to my wooden deck?

Asked by: Andrea
You can use four lag bolts per leg of the gazebo to fasten the structure to your wooden deck. The plate on the bottom of each leg has four holes, through which the lag bolts will fit.

how much rain comes in the roof? Obviously if there are no curtains on the sides it will only stop minimal rain. But I'm wondering specifically about rain through the roof vents.

Asked by: Emrae
Yes pretty easy and straight forward read instructions several times and pay attention to the orientation of beams. No rain comes through the top vent.

What is the roof panel material made out of? Is it sturdy against things like snow and such (I understand to clear off excessive load) also it is waterproof (ish) so the gazebo can be enjoyed during a rain storm?

Asked by: Maverick_Edm
The roof is made of metal and is heavy enough to carry a small load. I intend to keep clearing the snow from it. It will stop the rain but you will want to consider solid curtains to stop it coming in for the sides if you want to be out there during the rain. As long as you put it together correctly no water will get through the roof unless there are high winds. Hope this helps you.

What material is the roof made of?

Asked by: KimM
Please don't buy !! It doesn't come with right parts and when you half way install it and realize that some parts are missing or it's defective.. you have to go through customer service and someone send you these parts from china after a month and they still wrong ones . I have mine installed with defective roof because it was factory default and screw don't fit .

Is this weatherproof for snow in the winter? Worried about Montreal snow.

Asked by: Ange
Hi Ange, thank you for asking! This gazebo can hold up to 2900 LBS of snow. Snow must be cleared off regularly during snow days. Remove the snow at the top when it is thicker than 4 to 5 inches. In order to avoid damage, use a plastic snow rake to remove excessive snow and ice buildup from roof and keep away from falling debris. Will this survive winter in Edmonton Alberta?

Asked by: Asif
Hi Greg, the industry standard for measuring these are from the roof, not the leg foot print. Roof coverage is 10x12. Many people assume its like a home or shed, gazebos are not measured that way. Think of it more as a glorified umbrella. That is how they are measured.
