    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Less Than One-Year and the Photo Eye Settings No Longer Work Bought this due to the reviews and the built-in photo sensor feature instead of the corded sensors on the Malibu transformers. Installed it this past spring and it will no longer work except when it's set to the "ON" setting (where it runs 24/7). So tired of having to deal with equipment than just won't last and stand the test of time - especially when that test of time is less than 6 months!!

Installation was a breeze and so far it works as intended. It is bigger and heavier than expected but this in not a hindrance whatsoever. Time will test its durability.

It was very easy to install easy to install and the instructions are very clear and easy to understand. I would highly recommend this product. It has more power than I need, but at a good price I would rather have more power if I want to and to my system.

    LF 12VDC transformer for LED lighting strips for around the pool. Will this suffice? Need only about 60w for now.

    Hi, this is an AC transformer, not DC. Our transformers are UL certified and they are safe to use around pools, so yes it would work depending on if your lights work with AC and not just with DC. Ground shield is purposely made for submersible lights fixtures.

    Yes, the Hampton Bay HD22300 transformer a suitable replacement for a Malibu ML300RTW. They are both 300W transformers for low voltage lighting. The only difference is that the Malibu item has a manual timer and the Hampton Bay model has a digital timer that works automatically at dusk and can be set for 1 to 9 hours of lighting time, or all night. Hope this helps.
