Rated 4 out of 5 by from The best celing fan for the price I am from India so i have seen temp in the 40 to the 50 cel range while the highest we get in canada is 30 to 36 i was looking for a celing fan that moved air and this was the best, my sister came to my house and saw the performance of this fan and immediately went and got one for her master bedroom we don't need to turn on ac with this thing going it brings the temp down and i save electricity . I wish they would add a single light bulb to this fan it would be perfect.

I doubt I will ever need to run it on hi but I really am happy with this purchase. I also like that it's energy efficient and it's very quiet. Only thing I'd change is to have a remote... wall switch only.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean design, backwards switch This fan was a great addition to our open concept living/dining/kitchen area. We chose no light as we have potlights and didn’t need the extra light. I love that the speed is controlled by the wall switch. Weirdly enough, speed 1 is the fasted and speed 4 is the slowest, which feels very backwards, but we are used to it now. We use it on speed 3 almost exclusively. The wall mount switch box is very large, just keep in mind when you are wiring it. The fan is easy to clean. Operation is quite quiet. I like the simple design, as it does not detract from the room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moves a lot of air This fan is in my sunroom which gets very hot in the summer. It has changed the room from a sweatbox to comfortable on those humid stagnant days. I love it. Just be aware it comes with a control box and the fan. No wiring. Buy an outdoor extension cord and you're set. I'm thinking on putting a few in my greenhouse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing fan for the money Very powerful. Mounted on an 18 ft ceiling the fan is strong enough to push the warm air down on the second speed level. Third speed blew the installation instructions across the floor! Fourth speed is amazingly strong. Each fan needs to be on its own power/speed switch (included). Wiring each fan separately was a big inconvenience but the fans perform very well. I used two fans in a large 2,500sqft room/space with a 18ft ceiling. They perform better then expected. And although they look cheap when taking them out of the box, they look great on the ceiling and surprisingly have had several complements. The fans I installed came with very short extension bars (maybe only 8" or so) and I thought I would need to buy a longer bar for the high ceiling but the short bar worked fine).

Can I wire multiple fans to 1 speed control switch or does each fan need its seperate switch. I want all my fans to operate at the same time at the same speed.

You can control multiply fans with one rheostat. ( Fan speed control) Never use a dimmer switch.

Can this fan be flush mounted to the ceiling

Setup requires a motor with cowling and a rotating stem. I be!ieve you can switch out the stem for shorter or longer - but you'll still have the fan blades minimum 6-8 inches below the ceiling.

How is the wall control wired? It the reverse function on the remote or fan? I'm replacing a basic ceiling fan with a pull cord with normal on off switch, can't find wiring instructions anywhere

Thank you for your question. The wall switch is wired to the house supply in place of a standard on/off switch. The instructions are included in the manual. If you are missing the manual, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to email you a copy. The fan's direction is controlled by a manual reverse switch located above the motor housing under the coupler cover.
