Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy these you will regret it These seemed so cool but they are not. They randomly go into a weird flashing/ flickering of thenlights . They do not put off a lot of air considering their size. Also i had them profesionally installed and one didnt have the QR code to set it up to my phone to use the remote and wont connect the other way so it is useless. No way with the random flickering of the lights will this hold up and they all do it on occasion. Also the two i have hooked up to wifi one just randomly decides for days it will go offline and nothing can be done to connext it. Great idea but flawed execution and quality control and I know i have three of them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I looked and looked for a smart ceiling fan with light until I discovered this Hampton Bay Fanelee 54 in.. I couldn’t wait to install it. It was easy to install with step by step instructions. It was a 1/3 of the weight of the old one I took down. It looks awesome and works with Alexa or the remote that came with it. You can control the fan and light separately with Alexa or the remote. My wife loves it as do I. The fan has 5 levels and the light has so many options I can’t believe it. The fan is extremely quiet and is the best at cooling you off that I have ever had.I highly recommend this fan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice We were looking for a new fan for our maser bedroom and I came across this one in the store. It was on display. Grabbed a box and went on my merry way. It is now installed and I'm still deciding if I really like it or not. I am annoyed that the down rod it comes with very short (4-6 inches) so we did not achieve the look that I saw in the store or that is on the box. Having to buy another down rod makes the fan more expensive, plus creates additional work. At least the box should show the item the way it comes. The comments I read here about the light being a circle in the middle of the room are true, but that doesn't bother me.

We wanted a sleek, low profile, wide, smart fan. Plus we like Hampton Bay because it is one of the most DIY friendly designs. We love our new Fanelee! The look is exactly what we wanted, the air movement is outstanding and it is very quiet. We like the warm white the best but will use the other colors occasionally such as for game night. The wifi and smart set up was one if the easiest I have ever encoutered and we have dozens of smart devices. Thank you, Hampton Bay. Another outstanding product!

I love the ability to control the fan from the app on my phone as well as the light brightness and colors! The light is very bright and it'll match any brightness of LED lights in your home (2700-5000k). If you're looking for a fan that'll light up a whole room, this might not be the fan for you. But it goes along perfectly with recessed lighting. If you like a light switched fan, don't get this one. Turning power off from the switch will erase the memory. I just wish it came in flush mount.

Besides that: Fan looks really sleek & minimalistic. Fan moves the air & it's quiet. Hubspace was easy to figure out & Alexa integration is seamless. Ceiling installation was simple. Verdict: the "decorative shade" light diffuser ruins what would be an otherwise great product. Mama is not happy, so fan is probably going back to the store.

Fortunately, it is in a rental so I don't have to look at it.the motor cover doesn't screw in, so it will nudge up away from the motor when it is on high speed. Easy install by my handyman. looks nice, easy install, the motor cover doesn't attach, so it will ride up the pole when the fan is on high speed. The lighting options are nice, but I"m not a fan of any of the options. Fortunately, I didn't buy it for the light feature. would recommend, but not if this will be he primary light source for the room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HAMPTON BAY FANELEE 54" CEILING FAN This is a great looking ceiling fan, love the six different light color options along with the ability to The Hubspace App. Very easy to install but I put too much time into setting up for its installation... 14-3 is not required to run the fan and light with dimming options as well as slow fan speed options. Did all my prep work before purchasing just to find out when opening the box that it uses traditional household wiring utilizing the hot and common and everything else is ran off of a module. So, it appears I have an extra red wire in case the next homeowner wants to wire for a more traditional ceiling fan.

Why does the LED light flicker when dimmed?

I installed the fan and everything works as expected except when I use the dimmer function on the remote, the LED light begins to flicker. The light works fine when at full strength but once it is dimmed, it begins to flicker. I confirmed all the wiring is installed correctly.

Hi blownfx4, sounds like a connection problem, I would check voltage to the push-in connector at the light connection for the correct voltage (120 volt) If that is correct then call Hampton Bay at 1-855-434-2678. You dont have this on a wall dimmer do you as that would not work

Hi Dmuir, yes is to large for an 8 foot ceiling, you need a flush mounted style fan. This one would be down around 6' 6" above the floor, not good or legal

The light in this fan is excessively bright (like you’re in an operating room) Is there any way to remove some of the lights or dim the brightness? I’ve tried changing the colors and it doesn’t help.

Thank you for your question. The light is dimmable. Press and hold the light button on the remote to cycle through the brightness settings. Release the button once the desired brightness level is achieved.
