We hav... we brought this set 5/2016 and with in a year the top of the chairs started coming apart. We have been trying to get replacement seats but have not been successful. We don't understand why we can not just buy the part we need to fix our set. We paid good money for the set and love the set but just want to replace the Seat & Back Combination part for the chairs that need replacement.

First off, I think this is a beautiful patio set and the square table makes everyone feel more involved in the a conversation, unlike a rectangular table. The table is much more beautiful in person than online and the huge tiles are thick, but not indestructible, so be careful when moving them. Thankfully we had no issues with them, but I can see if one were dropped it would definitely break. However, once they're installed I don't see them breaking with normal use. The assembly is definitely a 2 person job. I had a person with me who used to professionally put furniture together and it took us 2-3 hours and we didn't even get all the chairs done. It's a long process, so be prepared to start early and take your time. If you have real tools, instead of the one's they provide it's also recommend to use them to speed up the process a bit. Be careful when assembling not to over tighten as I think a couple of my nuts stripped, so try not to crank past a certain point if possible. I'd say full assembly with 2 people would take 3-4 hrs. The chairs are really nice and have a slight rock/give to them which is nice, because you're not completely restricted of movement, but you also can't rock like a full rocking chair. I'd say they're pretty comfortable as far as outdoor chairs go. They're not cushioned, but they're a synthetic wicker that has give and curve to it, so it's all hard on your bottom. There is an umbrella hole, which is always nice. I have to say my one gripe so far and I'm not even sure if it's a good one is I'm not a fan that the chairs don't push in even close to all the way because they hit the legs of the table. They push in some, but with them pushed in side by side it adds almost 2 feet to each side, so finding a cover with the chairs outside and pushed in is impossible unless you buy very oversized or custom. I've since tilted the chairs up to reduce the distance from the top of the chair to the table when it's not in use. This also drains rain and dirt from the chairs, but should also fit a large size cover and even if it's a little bigger than the back of the chairs you could just pull them back to place pressure on the cove to make it a tight fit. Alternatively, if you have room, you could put away the chairs and buy covers all day with the reduced size. One other thing was some of my plastic nut covers were warped and didn't fit, but that doesn't really bother me. Overall, I got this patio set on sale (~$500 less) and for me that's worth it. You get 4 extra inches on all sides over most square tables which doesn't seem like a lot, but every inch matters when you have the family over and you're placing food on the table. The set is really nice and I'm very happy with it thus far. It stinks if the set comes with broken tiles or a bad frame, but it's my understanding either HD or Hampton Bay will resolve these issues. This has a 3yr warranty, but hopefully I will not need it.
