DPC material is sturdy, lightweight, sustainable material. Its composed of three layers: the first being hot-pressed stone and plastic powders, the middle layer contains the film with pattern and color, and the top layer is the Anti-UV coating. Quickly in July, the chairs started leaking rusty water from the end of the seat, where the plastic caps that are used to close the pipes are located. It stained all the concrete around the pool as well as several clothes. Yesterday, i've tried to add some silicone on the jonction of the seat fabric and the tube, where the water was infiltrated on filed the plastic caps as well. I made holes in the rear tube to assure it drains from the back in case the water finds its way in again... Poor conception comes with low price.

The seats are rated at 220 lbs but both me and my son are well over that weight and there is no problem, very sturdy. We bought this to go under a 10x12 gazebo and we're looking for a compact yet functional set to sit along side an outdoor couch so everything fits underneath. Still waiting for home Depot to deliver the gazebo. I recommend this set, very 😁

On the last page of the manual it states that it should not be subjected to rain, sun, wind, snow etc. I live in Ontario, Canada. The set is sitting on my deck. It is not under a canopy I have an umbrella that sits in the hole that is on the table top. I was told I should cover the set to protect it from the elements. I definitely would do this in winter, but to have to purchase a cover and use it with all our weather changes is a hassle. I wish this company would use materials that can stand to be outdoors in our weather.I am not a happy consumer.

Major negative is the chairs leak rusty water when slightly off horizontal, bit of an issue with the stationary chairs, big annoyance with the rotating chairs having rusty water leak onto deck if you lean forward at all. Regretting not buying the aluminum set on Wayfair was thinking off instead…

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rusty Water Just purchased a new home last winter, found this beautiful set for the summer and it’s great. Takes a bit of time to put the chairs together but we’ll worth it. It looks beautiful on our deck. Biggest issue, it seems to retain water within the tubes of the chair somehow. Then when you go to pick it up, a nice stream of rusty water comes out and stains your deck a new colour…yay! May not be the most weather resistant so buyer beware.

Reason for lower star rating - water gets inside the bars along the bottom edges of the chairs and then leaks out in a rust colour. It has left stains on my stone patio and will leak onto your leg, especially problematic if you’re wearing pants.

Water collects in frames and rusty water leaks onto deck. This is not at all suitable for outside use!! Home Depot should post a warning. (There are disclaimers about outside use in the assembly manual if you look closely but what sort of “patio” is not outside?)

Would you buy it, if it was fully under cover and did not get rain on it?

Yes absolutely. We bought our set last summer and have it on our covered deck. The deck is open on the sides but our set had no problems with the weather. For winter we covered it with a canvas-type cover and this spring it still looked perfect, apart from being dusty. It's a great set and we recommend it.

is the table heat resistant for stove to table heated pots?

The faux wood is made of durable polymer composite (DPC), which is a type of plastic encased in a powder-coated steel frame rim. Since the rim is made from steel, it has natural resistance to heat. However, the surface of the table top is made from strong plastic, which can lose its durability against high temperatures. Can anyone confirm if that rust-leaking issue is limited to the chairs? Or does rust also leak from the table legs as well?

My set does not leak rust from the table but every chair leaks black rust. This is very annoying because it stains all the pressure treated wood on the deck. Would not recommend buying this set to anyone.

Is the table top water resistant and durable outside all year long?
