Can this be flush mounted? Does anyone know the distance between the fan blades and the ceiling. I am not interested in using the light included. Thanks so much.

Thank you for your question. Yes, this fan can be flush mounted without the downrod. The distance from the ceiling to the blades would be about 9 inches when installed without the downrod.

Hi:Can I use a universal remote with this fan? Would I have to install a control unit in the fan housing to be able to use it?

Thank you for your question. Yes, you would be able to use a universal remote with this fan. A universal ceiling fan remote will include a remote receiver which will have to be installed in the canopy of the fan and wired to the fan & house.

Can this unit be installed on angled ceilings with a 2/12 pitch?

Thank you for your interest in the Umber fan. This fan can be mounted to a ceiling with upto a 30 degree slope. If the angle is greater, you will need a cathedral ceiling canopy kit which would allow for installation upto 45 degrees
