Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and rustic for the look we wanted. I bought these boards to duplicate a headboard project featured on Ask This Old House. Their website tutorial referred me to Home Deport as the source. The boards are only available through on-line ordering in my area, but that was a smooth and easy process. No delivery problems. The boards are a bit rough and rustic, but that's how they were advertised, and the look we wanted. You cant sand them smooth or the raw wood will show through the stain. The project turned out great! Make sure order a little more than you need to allow for cuts and personal preferences with the pattern.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful product. Read this before you buy! I followed the instruction of the video from home depot DIY project "How to Build a Wooden Headboard" and bought this product, where my nightmare began. Crook, bow, cup, twist, split, thickness variation among boards, all the defects you may know about the wood board, it have them all. this is not a product. it is the demostrating samples for teaching you the common wood board defect. And the surface was furry. I had to sand the surface to use it for headboard (cannot unstand why it is recommended in your video) the thickness variation (some board is quite thin at the edge) caused serious problem during joint board together with pocket holes: the nail comes out from the front surface. I was regret that I didn't return them before I cut and sanded them. Because I was thinking it would be shameful to return them after the boards are cut and sanded. But is it shameful to make the products with the quality is so low?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expectations Unevenness of thickness of boards, variation in stain colour and randomness in smoothness and saw cuts makes for a very nice weathered and rustic look. Easy to applicate, would recommend both using construction adhesive and nailing boards to wall surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome look ! Essentially it’s a great product. You need a nail gun, PL adhesive to install securely Product does have different thickness of boards but you easily manoeuvre them to add a depth effect and it will look amazing!! Would recommend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hardwood wall boards Easy to use, but lay out all the boards first & compare the width of the boards as some are wider than others. Also, it helps to paint the wall a dark colour first - it will hide the spaces between the boards. The overall look is beautiful! We gets lots of compliments on the wall. Highly recommended product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Below average These are weathered engineered wood boards. The look isn’t what you would expect at all they look very man made. About 3 boards out of a box are useable with out modifying. The boards a are twisted, cupped, and not the same size. I chose these for the look of old barn wood because they were engineered I certainly know why they are so cheap now. Even the dye rubs off on your hands when installing them. These would not be my choice because of inconsistency in manufacturing. There are far better products out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Purchased for a feature wall in my dining room. I couldn't be happier with it as it looks amazing. Rather than glue the boards I decided to screw them in for a raw/rustic look. I reccomend wetting the screws as the boards are dry and can easily split. Note: I did not predril the holes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Barnwood feature wall The product is beautiful and creates a lovely focal point. It is worth noting that the boards are not the same width along the length leading to gaps which you can see the wall colour behind. We used black paint on the wall to make the gaps less visible. Overall it looks amazing.

With the following description of my wall L – 7’8’’x B– 6’5’’ =  How much materials should I require? It will be my first project in our house,  Also, can you provide the list of materials that I would need to complete a wall mural Thank you

Asked by: Avik Swarnakar
Calculate how many square feet your project is, and look at how many sq.ft. the package of boards cover, and add 10% for error. Based on your measurements, you will need about 56 sq.ft. of product. I painted my wall dark first because the boards do not line up and perfectly cover everything, the paint allowed for the "illusion" of full coverage by the boards (The boards are natural and there is some variation). How do you plan an adhering the boards to the wall? You can always use a brad nailer (makes it easy & fast) & a little bit of adhesive. Make sure you preplan the boards before you attach them to the wall, making sure you have similar depth of boards for each row of boards you install. You will also need something to cut the boards as you will most likely stagger the boards on the wall. I prefer a mitre saw. If it's a horizontal application, make sure you check it with a level to ensure it's plum.

Is there any flex to the panels? There is a small bow in the wall I want to cover and I wonder if it will work with these panels. I think it is a less than 0.5" change.

Asked by: MilkMan
I suppose it will be ok. Use it with glue and nailer.

Can you sand it and then restain. I am looking for more grey and washed. :) I bought a box to see and I love it

Asked by: Jessid26
I would think that if you sanded it you would end up with a different texture to the wood and that it would look different from the others
