Rated 1 out of 5 by from planks of wood in horrible condition I decided to order wood online and have it delivered because with my 2 children with me all the time there is no way for me to transport lumber. I was horrified by the utter garbage planks of wood that were delivered and will never shop at Home Depot again

If cut into smaller pieces, is this a good firewood replacement? Are these chemically treated or safe to burn in a fireplace? Firewood in small quantities seems super expensive.

    Asked by: john
Spruce lumber is not treated and not dangerous for health if you decide to burn it in your stove or chimney. However, it contains lignin that will crystalize in your chimney and could over time block it. It is not recommended to burn spruce lumber on a regular basis. You can use it as kindling wood to start fires. Not recommended to use as main fuel in your fireplace

what are the differences between 2x4x8 SPF Dimension Lumber and 2x4x92 5/8 Framing Lumber except the difference of the length. I will need to do framing for my basement, both of them are long enough. which one should I use, only 10 cents differ. thanks

    Asked by: Kevin
The only difference between the two products is the lenght. The are both perfectally suited for your basement framing project.
