Works fine for use around the home. I'm sure it wouldn't hold up to heavy day in day out commercial use. This replaced a 15-20 year old Devilbiss unit. Parts are no longer available for that unit. I would buy it again for my uses.

I need Repair kit for this nailer... Please give me instructions on acquiring this kit.
Asked by: Reggie
i don't know if a repair kit is available for this brad nailer due to its low cost, it would probably be just as cheap to buy a new nailer rather than buying repair parts for this nailer.

Drop of oil in the air input connector. It comes with oil, when that's gone 3 in 1 oil works fine.

Loaded the BR50 with 18 gauge nails that came with the tool. Used 60 thru 95 psi. Leaves mark on the wood but It does not nail/no nail!

Asked by: John
I made the mistake of using 16 gauge nails and it did the same thing. So I changed it to 18 gauge nails. Maybe you can check that to see if it’s the issue?

Does this use standard round-headed Brad's?

Asked by: DaveinTN
It’s actually a pretty good nail gun for the average donut yourselfer. So far it hasn’t jammed either.

I have tried the 18g Porter cable nails and they just jamb up every time, WHY

Asked by: Verniture
IT IS BECAUSE OF THE GLUE THEY USE TO KEEP THE NAILS TOGETHER. WHEN YOU ALLOW IT TO SIT IN THE HEAT THE GLUE BEOMES STICKY AND CUSES NAILER TO JAM.

I got this nailer and it did not come with a no mar tip so when I shoot it leaves a mark. Should it have come with one? If not, does HD sell one?

Asked by: Danny
I too have had same issue! We should ask Home Depot if they sell a no mar tip for it.

Will this product work for laminant flooring?

Asked by: Tony
Not recommended. Most laminate flooring is interlocking. If you use a brad nailer, you will have noticeable scores on the laminate, which, over time, may cause a problem. If you have an existing floor that is already experiencing problems, a brad nailer could be a good temp fix, but you should think about replacing the problem area/areas.
