When you are spending this kind of money for a product make sure you know what you are doing in regards to levels of the floor and of wall is straight etc. Once you do this then chances are your fireplace will look great. If not you may find flaws in your alignment etc. That being said if you have 3 grand to buy this product don’t be afraid to spent 300.00$ to get it done by someone who KNOWS what they are doing. Finally make sure to use tea water when preparing the joint filler. It really make a difference in the colour

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply gorgeous! This mantel looks gorgeous and has very high quality. Expect a bit of an effort with grouting but you won’t be disappointed with the end result. It looks better than most of premium cast stone mantels for half the price! Such a stunning addition to my living room.

Only issues: paid for white glove service, which we did not get; however, Home Depot refunded the difference--no big deal. Also, mantle pieces did not match up well--our installer had to shim quite a bit on one side. The result was great, though--Very happy with our purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well made and stunning We ordered the larger and smaller mantels for both sides of a see through fireplace, they both arrived in perfect condition. Did take a while to get into the crated boxes to verify nothing was broken before letting the shipper leave. But was well packed and all pieces where accounted for. All worries concerning quality where abated once we saw how nice the materials and detailing turned out. They are just what we hoped they would be. Would purchase them again!

I received this fireplace surround and I love it. The only problem is that there are lots of pits in the plaster from air bubbles trapped when it was cast. Is this normal, does anyone else’s have this?

yes ours is the same, I love the look as it looks just like the travertine we are using on our chase. Our travertine is honed and filled so the pits are smooth but it's still get a great look and ties in nicely with the fireplace surround.

What is the maximum depth that a firebox can be and still fit into this mantle?

I'm hoping to be able to install an electric firebox and this fireplace mantel against a flat the wall without making extra allowances for the depth of the firebox? So, how deep is the space for a firebox? I understand from your previous answer that II have some flexibility with the height and width of the firebox I buy.

Hi Deb1, The actual depth for the firebox is about 8". Unfortunately you may have to build in the firebox as 8" is not very big. I hope this helps.

Could you provide the dimensions shown in the diagram?

The third thumbnail provides diagrams and dimensions for this Louis XIII fireplace mantel, but the numbers are too small and blurry to make out. Perhaps you could improve this picture for all your Historic Mantel Fireplace Mantels? Also, maybe you could add how deep the space is for the firebox.

Hi Deb1, Please see below for a list of the sizing: Hearth: 62"W x 15"H Top filler panel: 42"W x 12"H Side filler panels: 4.5"W x 36"H Opening: 40"W x 36"H Top of mantel: 62"W Side pillars: 13" W x 48"H This mantel is about 13"D at the top and just a bit narrower at the bottom. It is recommended to build in the firebox so that it fits better if it is a larger unit. I hope this helps.
