Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice heavy construction with good welds. We were hoping it... Nice heavy construction with good welds. We were hoping it wouldn’t need screws for the vertical 2x4’s. But they were tall, so they needed screws to keeping from bowing out. Once those were in, they stood straight. No need for reinforcing. We found it very difficult to put screws in the horizontal 2x4’s and they moved if we didn’t have them. There are holes drilled in the metal but needed to use hand tools to set the screws.

I do not know if they are made in China or not. These days, the sad answer is most likely yes. Having said that, if it helps you, they did work the way they are supposed to work and are holding up pretty well so far after about a year.

It depends on how tall or long your 2x4’s are. I went 7 ft tall and 8 feet long with screws to hold the 2x4’s. So I have about 1 cord stacked in one set. I criss-crossed in the middle and I have one side against a wall.

Is price for 1 kit, 2 brackets?

One kit is two brackets but top and bottom kits would make this product a very strong, easy to assemble box with a length limited only by the 2x4 length of lumber.
