Neighbours are judging us harshly for putting up in August..jokes on them when Skelly stays up all year round ;) thank you Home Depot for creating the best Halloween decoration EVER.

Shout out to my boy Chris (Ouuusss) for all of his support and motivation. This particular tale is about redemption- a come back story if you will. For me the journey began 9 years ago. We had our 1st child of 3. I was never one that cared much for seasonal decorations, although Christmas was always a big holiday growing up. It wasn’t until our daughter was drawn to Halloween. TV shows, decor, The annual visit to Spirit Halloween etc. I started small - miniature skull string lights, foam cemetery stones and of course the skeleton crawling out of the ground. My passion for Halloween grew from there and intensified as we had our 2nd and 3rd child (boys). I became obsessed with Halloween and would miss boys poker nights and hide in the garage toiling away at new creations. Throughout my Halloween decor journey there was always a missing piece, a part of me that knew, that my game needed to be stepped up. When I first saw one of Todd’s siblings on display at Home Depot my wife immediately threatened divorce 2 years ago. I turned to my wife and said “this is the 4th child I’ve always dreamed about” - she didn’t respond. I made a futile attempt to purchase one that same year but to no avail. I waited until the next season - without a day going by that I didn’t look at the Pinterest pics of people putting them on display. Pinterest opened freed up a whole new level of obsession. Whether it was the Easter bunny one or the Santa one. I especially like the one where a group of gentlemen surround it in a Home Depot (likely fathers looking to step up their game). The obsession took over - I dreamed of skeletons and all of the possible posing options, what I would name him and how to navigate marital strife through it all. Another season passed - I checked the Home Depot site regularly and the day came when I was able to pre-order online. This was a major breakthrough on my quest for perfection on Halloween. I thought “this can’t be happening, why am I so lucky, is this some sort of prank”. I got the call from the delivery guy that he was on his way. Emotions rushed over me - on one hand I felt nervous and on the other blessed. Could I live up to the expectations that come with a 12 foot skeleton?? Will my setup/display be Pinterest worthy?? How am I going to afford alimony AND child support?? What will I tell my friends when they find me sleeping in my car?? My parents…. The shame that I would bring to them and our family name. All of those questions were answered when the box arrived and I opened it up. I immediately knew Todd would be his name. My kids asked why Todd and why I wouldn’t let them name him. I didn’t have an immediate answer but Todd just felt right. He is now a very big part of our family and am looking to transition him into our Christmas plans. Perhaps the classic Santa outfit in the foyer who knows? The options are endless. This isn’t for the amateur decorator. You need a plan and you need to be prepared to answer to your Neibourgh’s - I can tell you that half will love it and the other half will be putting sugar in your gas tank. Tread carefully, get a good divorce lawyer lined up and think of the best possible placement that will make you the envy of your hood. Enjoy every moment with your skeleton (whatever you name them) as they could be your last. Statistically speaking the likely hood of murder happens 50% of the time by a spouse.

He is a show stopper and I would have bought 2 more if they had them. HD has really stepped up on thier Halloween game and I always look forward to see whats new. I only have 1 complaint about this skeleton, I wish he came with a plug and didn't take batteries. Please note as well that the box he comes in is 24" x 24" so of you're going to buy this guy make sure you've got the proper storage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No eyes Received this a week ago. No eyes. Plugged it in at the hip, they lit up but as the head moved they blinked out. Plugged it in with the long cord, same results. Can’t narrow down if it’s the cord or in the head, very disappointed. Spine was not finished, open.

If I left this skeleton out year round in a Manitoba winter (extremely cold, lots of snow) would it get damaged? Would it help if I cleared the snow off of the skeleton daily?

Thanks for your interest in this product, The item had been conducted Rain Test, Wind Test and chemical test …etc. . but it did not conduct the test in extreme weather like snow . The items are constituted of Iron, PE and PP material plus electronic parts and here is the using temperature range for this material the vendor is known for your consideration. PE using temperature range: -100%°C +100°C PP using temperature range: -30%°C +140%°C LCD Screens:-18°C Other Electronic Parts: Uncertain. The Vendor doesn't suggest the item be put in extreme weather and the engineer concerns that the inside of the arms’ s springs will lost tension when it’s covered snow. Lastly , wish you have a good experience of using it, Thanks.

I bought one last year, my only advice, open it right away, like in the parking and count all your parts. Mine was missing a few and sadly I was never able to get them through Home Depot. I ended up returning my Big guy in Feb of this year!!! once it was apparent I would never get the parts after being told for months I would. Hoping I'm not as unlucky this year
