Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy to use and control The lights were super easy to setup and use. Once I got these connected to Hubspace app (which took like 15 seconds) I was able to easily create my own lighting patterns, select from great preset options, and set schedules for them to turn on at sunset and off at 11:30 PM. Overall great product, with a great user experience, and I would highly recommend the product. In disclosure I do work for Home Depot, but I did purchase these lights with my own money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feature filled, multi-holiday lights [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set of Home Accents Holiday Smart Micro LED Lights has all the necessary pre-set colors for all the major holidays making it versatile enough for year round use. Though the bulbs are tiny, their color output is still very bold and bright. Since I have all my outdoor lights connected to a central timer system including these, I have elected not to take advantage of the smart light features provided by the Hubspace App and its voice assistant. Even without attaching to the app, there are plenty of pre-set colors and themed shows available just by using the control button on the light strand plug. I like the secure screw-on connectors used to join additional strands.

These are not your father's C9 lights he struggled with every year. First of all, they are LED, which means no more blown bulbs. Also because they are LED, they will use less electricity. Finally they are Smart. You can connect them to Alexa, Google Home or just your phone. The lights look great and are super easy to hook up to your phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic smart holiday lights! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These lights are great and the 150 is long but I’ll be getting more to strand together. The setup was dramatically easy and truly too under 60 seconds to complete. You’ll need to download the Hubspace app then setup an account to get started. Once you do that simple login, click on the add button, then scan the barcode that was either in your package of lights or on the plug itself. The app requires you to allow Bluetooth so to make sure you do that or the lights won’t be added. There are several pre-programmed scenes for different holidays and if I remember correctly by default it starts as Christmas. I’ve got mine set to Halloween as that’s the next holiday coming up. For now, they are strung around the office, but I might move them to our front patio once a get my 2nd or 3rd set to add. There are several options in the app, and you can even set a schedule for when you want the lights to go on and off. You can even set this around sunset or sunrise. I’m setting these to go on 10 minutes before sunset and then go off at 10pm. Great items just in time for the Holiday Season!

Are there special clips for using along eavestroughs?

Your choice of clip is more dependant on your style of eavestroughs. I'm not able to know this for you, but most clips try to have a universal aspect to it. Can I connect more than 3 sets? Seventy five feet is limiting for big trees and whole house displays.

Can these be installed as permanent lights in j channel or similar?

Hello Diyer. Thank you for your question regarding the 150L Micro Dome Color Changing Smart LED Lights Powered by Hubspace. I'm sorry, but I'm not aware of this product being designed specifically to be use with J channel. But I do know this product is classed as a Seasonal Product with a maximum use of 90 days per year. So you won't be able to use these as permanent lights without voiding the warranty. The product pictures on this Home Depot webpage show a good representation of possible applications. can you plug in powered ornaments

The name "Twinkle" is not listed as a function choice, but many of the functions have various "Twinkle" like effects.
