Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Blind Nice blind, works well Easy installation. Only problem the guy was supposed to cut at 25"W and he cut at 24-1/4". Not the width I asked for but with distance I needed to travel back to HD I decided to live with it. Caution, always remeasure after they cut!

So once I received my pick up email, I headed down to my location I selected and lined up to get into the store. They promptly had my order and custom cut them to fit my window. It was quick and the shade is beautiful. Really good light filtering shade. Not sure if the thermal works as I purchased during summer.

Not cheap, but worth the money once you see how they will decrease your energy costs dramatically if you install them on all your Windows!

Can you tell me the minimum depth needed for the bracket to be placed inside mount properly, or what is the measurement of the bracket? My window depth is about 1.80in only.

The total depth of the headrail and valance is 1.9in. If your window depth is 1.8in, the valance will not be fully flush with the wall.

Can the length be cut to size?

The length on cellular shades can not be trimmed. If the length is trimmed it will ruin the mechanism of the shade. The best feature on our cellular shades is that the length can be stopped at any position.

Can these blinds be surface mounted, as in can they be mounted to a wall or window casing rather than to the inside of a window frame?
