Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth it. The installation was easy. Shortening the bottom was not hard, but the directions were a little vague and if you cut the wrong cord, you are screwed. Take your time and think it through.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Warp in high heat I had these blinds installed on my west facing window in Calgary for about 2 weeks ago. A few hot days of 30 degrees and every slat is warped like a sad face. Now when i look at them I cant help but frown :(. Sometimes I turn them upside down so it looks more like a happy face and I can go on with my life.

The installation instructions were a bit vague in spots and could be improved. My biggest beef was that homedepot.ca said it was web only, but turns out it was available in the store for a substantially cheaper price than online. Had I known.....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blinds have warped from heat. These are nice blinds. But I installed them in a west facing window and they are warping from the heat. Do not recommend if installing in a west or south facing window.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beware sizing When I purchased the blinds I was instructed to give the inside measurements of my window and that the factory would make the necessary adjustments for fit when they cut them. Not only were these the on-line instructions, but I also double checked this through the on-line chat. Well, they came cut only to the measurements I gave with no adjustment so they are too tight a fit to work properly. I then advised by HD customer service to take them to a local HD (1 hour away) to get them cut properly. All good except the in store machine was down...and still is at the time of this writing. Other than this the blinds as are expected and I'm sure will work well once I can get them sized and hung.

I want to mount these INSIDE the window. My measurement inside is 30". It says in measuring instructions to round DOWN to nearest 1/4". So would I order 29.5" blind or the 30" blind?? Worried I order 29.5" and they come 29.25", too much gap imo.

For Maximum light blockage, please make sure the slats are facing downward for a tighter closure of the slats.

Can the 18.5" x 48" faux wood 2.5" blinds be cut down to 16" width? I don't see that in the list of sizes available. If it can't be done for an online order, can I take them to a Home Depot store to be cut there?
