Rated 3 out of 5 by from Can these blinds be shortened?? I bought this yesterday and installed today. I thought it was the same as one I had previously bought from Home Depot of the same description however the design has changed. Now it is not really ‘faux wood’ at all as they have removed the grain. The mounting mechanism is slightly different which was annoying because I wanted to just replace it exactly where the one I moved was before. The valence doesn’t have the nice detail it had before and I can’t see how it’s possible (if it’s possible???) to shorten the excess length which was very easy to do with the previous design. I’m not happy with the change. It also means it doesn’t quite match my other blinds which were from the same box (2 in, faux wood) from Home Depot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No lift equals no good I bought these knowing they were tilt only. I wanted lift but home depot had no options for that. A few years ago I bought faux wood blinds from home depot and they were much better quality with a more realistic woodgrain look. These look and feel cheap. Now that they're installed I'm stuck with a product that I'm very disappointed in. Even to remove them will be very difficult as there is no way to hold them up while pulling them out of the brackets. I'm so glad i only bought one 48x48 on a little used window. I'd give them zero stars if i could.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible design. I didn't realise it was no lift. Shortening the length was an absolute nightmare. People should still have the option to purchase with a cord as mine was installed above the kitchen sink so how can it be a danger to children. Waste of money. I'm stuck with it for now

The description indicates these faux wood blinds are fade-resistant. I am wondering if this applies to the white faux wood blinds as well? Or will the sun cause them to turn yellow over time?

Is there a way to lift the blinds so window may be opened?

The blinds can be lifted up by hand. They just won't stay in that position as there is no lift mechanism.

Description says no lift. How are the blinds raised? How and where are they custom cut?

The blinds can be raised by hand but they have no lift cord to keep them in place. Once you let go the blinds will drop. They can be ordered online to the width you need or cut in store.

I can’t seem to find the required depth for the head rail to mount inside? Can someone point me in the right direction please.

The bracket is 2 1/2" deep, however, you need minimum 5/8" depth to be able to use the mounting holes one the bracket.

You use the word Cordless all over this product page.. You are contradicting when you also use No Lift Tilt Only. Cordless is a type of Lift and should not be part of the description for a no lift blind. Please correct to remove the term Cordless

Can these blinds not be opened at all ?

The blinds can be lifted by hand but they will not remain in that position. There is no lift mechanism to hold the blind lifted up.
