Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult to install and poor instructions. It is hard to know where to begin. There are no installation options with this fan and will only assemble as shown in the photos. When installed in a normal height room (10') some people will (~6') will have to duck around it. The light will therefore not illuminate the room. Installation requires the blades to be attached by 3 screws for each blade BEFORE installing the already heavy and awkward unit into the bracket. At least two people, each with their own ladder, are required to get it into place. The instructions are very poor with side view schematics making it difficult to determine the orientation of parts. Hopefully it can be returned.

I can't tell if it is durable, but it seems to be quite well built. Only downside is I found that the instructions were not very good for someone who had never installed a ceiling fan before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value I purchased and installed the fan a week ago and I am very happy with the results. The motor is very quiet, when at low speed you can barley even hear it in operation. Assembly and installation was very easy and the fan has ZERO wobble. The material quality is very good for the price and the fan is sleek, no pull cord or visible mounting screws. The LED light has 3 colour temperatures, however the brightness is somewhat disappointing the LED light is not very powerful and I would say it is similar to the brightness of a single 30 watt incandescent bulb. If the fan light is the only source of light in your room, you may want to reconsider this fixture, or consider adding supplemental lights, floor lamps or pot lights will do the trick. I did have to purchase and install the steel city new work fan box to support the fan, I have attic access so this was easy...steel city also has an old work fan box for retrofits which probably would have been even easier to install...do not use a plastic ceiling box or one that does not specifically say that it is load rated as your fan will wobble and eventually fall from the ceiling. Online the product is listed at Hampton Bay, but in-store the product is Home Decorators. The remote control is simple to use, but it has an uncommon battery size (about half the size of a AAA). You can use a standard switch to turn the fan and light on or off, but when you turn it back on it will restore to whatever light and fan speed setting you had on last...so if you used the remote to have then fan on, but light off and then turn the switch off, when you turn the switch back on it will keep those settings. To solve this I used a 3M velcro command strip to mount the remote just beside the light switch.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought two of these a couple of months ago. The LED lights in both of them have gone so dim that it's kind of useless now. And changing it is not at all straightforward. I am still trying to figure out how to do it. It is kind of basic to make sure that these types of parts should be made available easily for replacement. Don't buy if you want to use the lights as well along with the fan.

I turned off the power and checked the dip switch settings. They matched, but I decided to change them anyways. Now the remote worked on all functions.... for a short time. Now it doesn’t work at all. Nice looking fan, but uncontrollable.

I have had this fan installed for maybe 6 months. Just recently the light has become very dim, not nearly as bright ad when we first installed the fan. How do we replace the bulbs to make them brighter?

Yes, one is supplied with the fan. It is approx. 8 inches long and manufacturer specific. If you need a longer one, you will have to order one from the manufacturer.

Thank you for your question. The downrod is not adjustable. The fan includes a 6 inch downrod and is compatible with 3/4 in. diameter extension downrods up to 48 inches in length.

Is this too large to install in a 10x12 bedroom?

Thank you for your question. With a bedroom this size, it really is a matter of personal preference. We suggest a 52" fan for rooms 12x 12 or larger. For a 10x12 room, we would suggest a 48" fan but a 52" would work.
