These are light filtering and you can make out some shapes at night from outside but not details. We prefer that since it lets in a generous amount of light during the day. It is a thick curtain and the quality is there.

When you list a panel dimension of 108 x 50, is that for each panel? So I could actually cover a width of 100" wide with two panels?

Yes that’s 108” is for each panel and technically you can cover 100” but they will be really stretched with no folds in the drapes. You should really buy 3-4 panels to get fuller effect. Hope this helps.
