Rated 5 out of 5 by from Installation was easy & the floor looks great. I'm pretty sure whatever installation issues others were having were caused by user error and not the product itself. I just finished installing over 700 sq. ft. of this flooring (only the second floor I have EVER installed) and installation was a breeze. I made sure to let the flooring acclimate for at least 48 hours in my basement. The key is to make sure you put even pressure across the entire length of the board when locking it in place and then tap the short ends together. If the board doesn't lay flat easily its not locked in properly. Doing this I never had a single joint separate in over 700 Sq ft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Looking, slight pain to install I installed 700 sqft of this floor in my basement and stairs. We bought it because its durable - have a black lab and a baby. I tried scratching a sample piece with my keys in the store and couldn't leave a mark. I highly recommend doing this install with another person as it takes a lot of force to get nice looking seems when locking two planks together. If you are patient and handy, it goes together pretty quickly - took us 8 hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality Laminate. Tight fit, nice solid feel My son bought this laminate to cover 3 rooms in his house. Of course I offered to help lay it down, having done several laminate floor installations over the years. My first impression was that this was very well made sturdy laminate so off I went. Then I noticed the 4 edge locking system which isn't common now a days. So, you need the basic installation kit with the block and bar used for proper locking. Overall, installation went well but it does take extra time to knock the end of each plank into locked position. I'm very happy with the end result. All seams are tight and the flooring feels solid all over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great flooring ... Some of the nicest flooring I've installed. Almost didn't buy it because of the negative reviews below but realized they are either from a competitor or someone not very handy. This floor goes together with ease (use an install kit) I'll be installing more of it in another room.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst laminate locking system i have ever used They used super weak MDF for the locking system, if you move it much at all it breaks leaving MDF pieces stuck in the joints. You also HAVE TO GLUE some simply because you will need to plain off so many tongue and groove pieces you have no choice. This took 3 times as long as any good quality laminate to install. I removed the locking system from about 25-30% of boards as the locking system is that bad. I am guessing the people who said this is good didn't install themselves or they enjoy the 1/8" gaps all over the floor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average I've installed quite a few laminate floors of different brands. The floor has a bit of a shine to it. Installation is easy, the quick lock works no better and no worse than any other brand. It doesn't just 'snap' in, you need a block to tap properly to get a proper lock like all the others. My biggest complaint which I will be contacting them about is my batch has a manufacturing flaw. 75-80% of the boards at the corner edge have a dye smudge. It comes off by scrubbing with a scouring pad...but not easily. It would have been difficult to return 23 cases to HD. Bought sight unseen and delivered since everything was/is closed due to Covid19. I would have gone for a different product if I was able to see it before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice product i bought these $2 sq feet .i thought i did a bad decision .because i read a lot of bad review and it is the first time i do for my basement.it was some hard time for first few pieces but after i found a right way to do it is not hard to install, every piece i tap couple time to make them perfect fit tie. i am so happy that i did buy these. and you see my simple tool

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easy to install but HUGE REGRET! Low quality! Extremely easy to install, but the product itself is absolute garbage! Although it is scratch resistant, it has absolutely ZERO tolerance to water as well as to any slight unevenness in your floors. If your floor has any unevenness, the tongue and groove system will just crack and split, which then leaves gaps between planks. If any bit of water gets on the grooves, they will bulge. The center of the planks are water resistant but the edges (which are exposed) are absolutely not! You are saving money in the short run, but that’s it. You will regret using these floors. Go with a vinyl plank instead. Vinyl plank is waterproof and has tolerance to uneven floors.

Has anyone tried this in a bathroom or kitchen where water spills are common? Just wondering if it stands up to water at all?

Asked by: Justin
Hello Justin, Sanded Oak is not a water resistant laminate flooring and is not recommended for use in high moisture areas such as kitchens and bathrooms. I hope this is helpful. Thank you.

Wondering how this stands up to floor washing.  I don’t mean soaking with water. Just regular mopping. Do the joints swell. Warp? Husband is worried after all his hard work.

Asked by: Treats22
No issues, pretty tight fit at the joints. Had the dog decide to pee in a couple of different places that weren't found immediately and there didn't seem to be any seepage from the top layer. Good quality product 3 years down.

Can this flooring withstand kitchen cabinets installed on top of it ?

Asked by: babybuda514
Hello babybuda514, the kitchen cabinets must be installed first and then the flooring can be installed around the cabinets. Installing the cabinets on top of the flooring would cause the flooring to not be able to expand and contract naturally, cause damage to the flooring, and void the manufacturer warranty. I hope this is helpful. Thank you!

It says that it can be installed over concrete. Do I first need a to lay a vapor barrier to protect against moisture or will the attached underlay suffice? I don’t want to add another 6mil vapor barrier to the floor height if I don’t have to.

Asked by: Davecamm
Hello Davecamm, that is correct. You would need to install a vapor barrier prior to the installation of the laminate. The underlayment attached to the plank is not a vapor barrier. The vapor barrier is only going to add 0.1524mm to the height of the flooring. Please ensure to install the Vapor barrier up the wall by at least 1 inch. I hope this is helpful. Thank you!

Is this floor water proof or water resistant?

Asked by: Fil99
No it’s not. It’s not vinyl. It looks amazing. But water and spills should be wiped up quickly just like a hardwood floor.

Where do I get moldings in this colour for stairs etc?

Asked by: iceman
Ive been looking everywhere, I went to many home depot stores and no one carries them. The only way to get stair nose is by pre order in the store and wait for a few weeks to be shipped to store.
