This one is beautiful and although it is lacking a light we still love it. The blades aren’t really wood but no one will ever be able to tell once it’s up and they look so good u can’t teiljell the difference up close. This one is going on Mom’s porch and she’s going to love how pretty it is. Will have to teach her how to use the ap but she knows how to talk to google which is what we’ll be using to turn it off and on. We are very happy with this fan!!!!!

I specifically liked that it can be controlled by the hand-held remote or by a smart-device app on a phone or tablet. With Alexa, its settings can be changed with voice commands. The remote even has a timer. The fan does not come with a light, nor is there a place to mount a light fixture later. Its only job is to move air, and it does that well with its DC motor. The downrod design allows flexible installation options. The fan comes with all the pieces, and do-it-yourself installation is Home-Depot easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modern Looks at Affordable Price [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All of the fans in our house are standard 48 to 52 inch that were installed in 2000. Motor technology and the advent of LED lighting has changed since then and we thought it was time to update some rooms. We chose larger fans so that we could possibly cut down on the number of fans in a room and replace those with a traditional ceiling light of some kind. The Tagar has a striking design and with the included remote control and built in Hubspace feature this fan will be future proof. We do have some other lights that have Hubsapce and it is a great app to use. Because of the larger size blades we may need to have an electrician move the ceiling electrical box so we will have him install the fan. The directions are straight forward and similar to smaller fans so installation seems simple for DIY. Please keep in mind that there is no light with this fan and you cannot add one at a later date. Also, the remote does not have any light function buttons. Keep this in mind when choosing a fan that fits your needs. This one checks all the boxes for our particular needs. Made in China with Lifetime Motor Warranty

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Difficult Installation [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had intended to install this on a vaulted screened in patio with very high ceilings, however this is going to require a 2 person scaffolding set-up to install as we were not able to do this with just one person on a ladder. Also please be aware that depending upon the electrical box that you are installing it in, you may have a very difficult time fitting the large receiver into it. There is not a lot of room to work with. Installation could have been made a lot more user friendly. There is also not an included LED light with this unit.

I thought that this Home Decorators Collection fan had a pretty cool sleek look to it. The motor seems to be nice and heavy and the blades are made from a heavy duty plastic material which seems like it will hold up well. The blades have a nice woodgrain finish to them as well. The operation seems to be nice and quiet. Overall a nice fan that was easy to install.

We had one in our last home which was more of a windmill type and it was silent thanks to the DC motor. This one holds up to the praise too. The blades looks like real wood from a distance and it runs silent while using little energy. This is a big fan, so it can put out a lot of air. It has a bunch of tech like bluetooth and can be controlled via an app. Overall a great piece for the house. I like that the screws for the blades are hidden too. I also Like that it can be used outdoor also and that the controller module for the fan itself is wet rated. We may actually move it outside once some work is done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No breeze This fan blows no breeze, it is not designed for open spaces or outdoors. It may work in closed, air conditioned, smaller spaces. Whoever designed this fan, had little idea on the necessary details: its highest speed is 2x SLOWER than my older one, also a three blade. The speed on this fans highest setting is the same as the lowest setting on my previous one. Don’t buy this for living rooms or kitchens or open spaces, maybe smaller bedrooms.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No air - low RPM As many of the other low rated reviews state, this fan didn't move much air. The remote that came with the fan didn't work well, even at close range. I readjusted the antenna but that had no effect. The hubspace app didn't play nice with this unit. Most of the time it was hit or miss.The fan eventually died after three weeks of operation. I don't recommend this fan. I returned it for a refund and bought a non-hubspace unit that works well.

can more than on fan operate off one remote

On the installation video, start at 6:12, there are instructions for setting the remote capability using a combination of DIP switches and instructions. It says you can control more than one fan with one remote or multiple fans with multiple remotes.

Apparently a DC motor intermittantly trips a GFI? I had an electrician install a pair of these and even after switching positions, the GFI kept tripping. He went over everything and came to the conclusion that the DC motor was the issue. Anyone else?

Um, what DC motor are you referring to? This motor is AC. DC is usually battery powered. I am not an electrician (but installed this fan). Tripping GFI can be short (loose wire), faulty switch / plug, etc.

Ok so just installed this today. My sense is - this thing?s not moving as much air as it should. I took a video and studied carefully. At max speed I?m getting just 120 rpm. Defective? (Individual blade made 2 round trips in 1 sec.)

120 rpm is not really in the ballpark of a good powerful ceiling fan for say, a screen porch. So I?m really doubting the reviews on this thing that say ?it pushes a lot of air?. It doesn?t. Google ?good rpm for a ceiling fan? and then Look at this spec.

Hi, Thank you for your question, The vendor have confirmed that No, this fan model will only have 1 rod, if a longer rod is needed, you may replace the original rod with and extension rod that has a treaded end and measures 3/4 in. diameter.

Curious to the longevity of the motor. Anyone had one installed, and many hours of use (over 3-5 years), or is this a newer company?
