Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE We bought this flooring a few weeks ago and took the risk given the review were awful. The type of install is very finicky and after watching countless videos and reading over and over how to install properly. We thought it would be okay. We had to redo it over and over and now after a week of walking on it, it's popping out here and there. We used the spacers, we left it floating, we followed all the rules and it's just garbage. Now we're left with a mess. The only thing nice about it is the colour. So mad, wish we had listened and gone with something else. Wish it was possible to rip up and return.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful flooring After viewing the 2 star rating of this product, I felt I should leave a review because we did not have the same experience, the flooring was super easy to install and didn't take very long we used it for 3 rooms and the hallway and have dogs that run up and down the house. it has now been over a year and the floor looks just as good as it did new. The flooring is a beautiful color and the price is right it's not listed as water proof but has held well to northern ontario winter boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from STAY AWAY Avoid this like the plague. I would give 0 stars if I could. The boards do not want to stay together. You go to tap in one piece, and then multiple pieces that were already together will pop out of place. The product will not lock and stay together. Spent a weekend and some week day nights trying to get this product to work because we really love the colour, but nope. Will be returning. The plus side - it was really easy to take apart what we had installed since it doesn't want to stay together anyways!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you value your sanity…DON’T! My husband has installed A LOT of laminate flooring over the years, it has alway turned out exactly right. This one had him questioning his sanity. He started in the evening, and immediately had immense trouble getting the pieces to stay together. He decided to sleep on it and start fresh in the morning. It was more frustration the next day resulting with us returning the product to Home Depot (less 5 open boxes we won’t get credit for). It was such and inconvenience and waste of money. Very disheartening. Home Depot was informed of our troubles, and still maintain there is no issue with the product. I’m surprised they still sell it quite frankly. I wish we had read the other reviews before buying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Enchanted White Oak Poor Quality Control Bought enough flooring to do two rooms. It is not easy to install but it was going in and looking good. Then we noticed an issue with the finish on some of the boards. The boards have a fairly low sheen but one board had a finish on half and the remainder of the box is rough with no finish at all. We now have to go through all remaining boxes to check for more “unfinished” boards to see if we even have enough to finish the project and it’s partially complete. Our store only has 2 boxes left and it’s turning out to be a nightmare!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage!!! Used the previous versions of this with ease. Was able to 3 bedrooms and a hallway in a day. And my whole basement the next day. So I got this stuff the “new better version” and what a nightmare. The way they have designed it now it is near impossible get both sides to lock. I now have 3 rows of flooring complete in 6 hours. Absolute garbage. Very poor engineering. DO NOT BUY! Save yourself a headache!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality for the price I have now purchased approx 1200sq ft of this flooring. I layed it out myself and seemed quite simple. I made a consistent effort to verify seams were tight on each board placed and installation went great. Excellent price for thicknesses and having a underpad attached already (saving time and money while providing a great buffer between subfloor and flooring). Great wear on the face, has some texture and looks great. Have had down in bedroom for over a year with little to no problem. Did 2 bedrooms hallway, living room and dining room! Would definitely purchase again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I bought this product and hired someone to install it - we both read the directions but it was impossible to tighten. It would initially look ok and then loosen. This product should be off the market. I now have to save up to buy flooring elsewhere and replace it. We did read the directions! I will not be buying flooring from Home Depot again.

I have the older Truswell Hickory 6.2 wide flooring. I have some water damage from a dehumidifer spill. Will his flooring lock in with the old one? I realize it is wider but I will start a new section with a clean line of old flooring.

Asked by: GATES
Truswell II laminate flooring will not lock into the older Truswell Hickory laminate flooring as the locking profiles have changed. Truswell II uses an Angle-Tap assembly process while Truswell used a Drop-Lock (Fold-Down) process. A T-mold transition can be used along the "clean line" you mention which would allow Truswell II to be installed.

Is this product suitable for kitchens or bathrooms?

Asked by: Frossty
Truswell II does not have a water resistant claim and moisture damage is not covered by the warranty. Truswell II is a good choice for many rooms in the home but is not recommended for spaces subject to high humidity or regular exposure to water such as bathrooms, laundry rooms and "mud rooms" where rain and snow get tracked in. It can be installed in the kitchen however spills should be wiped up right away. It is important not to get water into the joints as this can cause damage to the floor.

Sorry but not sure what the question is In reverse? Reverse of what? There's a right way and a wrong way If you mean from left to right or right to left , then shouldn't make much of a difference

How do we avoid the top layer of laminate from peeling/chipping at the cut edge? Is there a way to seal the cut edge?

Asked by: denise23
I would say use Krazy glue, but that would be a waste of time. This product is extremely difficult to work with. The over lapping ends and edges are very fragile and flakes away. The laminate face is good, it's what it is pressed on to is the problem. It's a poor quality base that the laminate is attached to, thus you get chips and peeling.

Can I apply a small running bead of top quality glue to the edges when installing this laminate?

Asked by: Monalynnro
I would not recommend using glue. The flooring is meant to be free floating in order to mitigate potential expansion or contraction. Depending where you are installing the flooring, it may expand or contract with the temperature/moisture. It is very easy to install and requires very little maintenance...hope this helps.

What can I use to clean this floor?

Asked by: Shelley
Cleaning of Enchanted White Oak laminate flooring should be done with a damp cloth or well wrung out mop. Cleaning should avoid liquids getting into the joints as swelling of the HDF coreboards may occur causing damage to the floor. Stubborn stains can often be removed with pure acetone appied to a rag. Never apply cleaning liquids directly onto the floor. Bona laminate flooring cleaner may be used, applied to a rag. Other commercial cleaning liquids should not be used as they may cause a permanent haze on the flooring finish.
