Rated 5 out of 5 by from Console Humidifier It runs 24/7 and puts lots of moisture into the air quickly bringing up the needed humidity. Having 2 tap water tanks allows its continuous use and makes it not too heavy to refill. Great having a filter you can wash.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Way too noisy! I've had this humidifier for about 2 years and within the first couple of weeks it developed a rattle/vibration that is so loud and annoying! At first I was able to give it a tap and it would become quiet again, but that didn't last long. It's so bad at this point that I only turn it on when I leave for work otherwise it drives me and the rest of my household crazy. It's also difficult to fill and one of the caps wants to jam tight no matter how loose I try to keep it. It's too bad it has these issues because it is a great humidifier as far as actually increasing humidity throughout the whole house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Takes Time I brought this with the advice of an associate and he was spot on. It takes at least two days to get 1000 sq feet humidified. It is quite noisy, but when it settles down at the fight humidity it works well

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very noisy and VERY expensive unit overall I bought one of these ironically-named "QuietCare" (it is extremely noisy) humidifiers several years ago. It came with an "E" style filter with the blue pre-filter sleeve, which was very good. For the first couple of years I could buy the replacement filters with the blue sleeves; 2 of them would take me through a whole season. Those filters are no longer available. The currently available filters are junk, and fall apart in about a week. At about $29 (including HST) per filter, 20-25 weeks of winter makes this a very expensive unit to operate. (Don't be fooled by the HomeDepot website photo of the "E" filter with the blue pre-filter sleeve - they don't actually have any). I have not been able to find a more reasonably priced generic filter to replace the Honeywell branded version. Numerous customers have criticized the currently available filters, and the manufacturer of these filters has promised to "take the feedback to the team" for months - but the filters remain unacceptable. I used to like this humidifier, but can no longer recommend it, mainly due to the ridiculous cost and replacement frequency of the filters. There are other high volume humidifiers available out there, with large capacity tanks, that will effectively humidify up to 2300 S.F. - some of which are less expensive, quieter, easier to fill, and have better wicks/filters. I have recently purchased such a unit, and much prefer it. Do your homework to find a better solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I Could Find and Happy About It I bought this for my apartment (~450sqft) because it gets extremely dry in the winter (down to 15%). I had tried about 4 other cool mist units and they did absolutely nothing so I opted for this one, despite the size, and I couldn't be happier. It has a ton of power and can handle my apartment without a problem. It's not silent at all but on low it's comparable to a box fan or similar sized fan. The containers hold a lot of water and can be hard to refill (takes a bit of muscle to hold it and carry it around). Overall, this is a great unit, especially for the cost, and I highly recommend it because it's really worked for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best so far I find it to be very smooth and quieter than most comparable manufacturers. It may be because I did not install the coaster wheels and I set it directly on a rubber boot mat. The only complaint I have is that they up sell us on a cleaning cartridge instead of making the unit out of antimicrobial plastic. The only other complaint I have is that when filling it with water, it is hard to hold the container straight as it gets heavier. It would be nice if the container would sit flat on the top while inverted for filling.
