Illuminates when pressing a button, which is a good feature. Gave it 4 stars because it warms up more than the old one i had, i don't think it's something wrong, as honeywell support said it is normal. I hope it will last long.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great when not faulty I now have 6 of these, replaced analog thermostats with these ones to safe on heat and to be able to see what the temperature is in every room. I bought the first one six months ago and it works great! So I purchased a second on about 5 months ago and it also works great. For the holidays, we got 4 and out of those four, one has the same issue as another review here. It goes blank, says low power (LP), flashes between some numbers and doesn’t detect the correct temperature. I tried switching it with another one that was working because I thought there was something wrong with the wiring but the same thing happened after moving it while the thermostat that replaced it works just fine. I am generally happy with these but it is unacceptable that sometimes you may just get a faulty model that won’t work. I like to program these so at night the temperature automatically lowers and goes up in the mornings. I also like the away feature.

So I bought two more for the other bedrooms, but they won’t function properly. The first one I installed would intermittently flash “Hi”, or “11.9” and “2.5”. Tried replacing with the second thermostat, which seem to work better…but then the display went blank. After a while the display came back, but the date and time had been lost. Very frustrating. I’m planning on returning these two units to Home Depot, and buy a simple non-programmable thermostat instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clearly problems with this model Bought this early 2023, worked fine for Jan/Feb/March. Didn't use until October and now I too am getting the 11/2 flashing that others complain about. I can't even adjust the heat so guess I need a new one. I called Honeywell support, they said I need an electrician to do a report of amp/watt/volt of line and baseboard. I asked if they find the thermostat is faulty if I get reimbursed for the electrician visit. They don't. Won't be buying this again.

The screen randomly flashes 11.9 and then 2.5 and then goes back to the regular display. What does this mean?

Mine works fine with 14 gauge wire, but behaved as you describe when installed using thinner wire.

I am looking to replace Honeywell Thermostat model TT822K1034 (2 wire system) with a programmable version. What model is recommended please? The model Honeywell Home 5-2 Day Programmable TRIAC Line Volt is one that I would like but need confirmation?

I installed it properly, however the screen flashes showing 2.5 and 11.9 then goes back to the normal screen. Over time, it causes the clock to not show the proper time/date probably because it desyncs when it flashes 2.5 and 11.9. I need help how to fix

Installed the Honeywell thermostat today. Seemed to work fine. But then it goes black then numbers 11.9 and 2.5 flash. It then takes awhile to get it to start again. How can we fix this

Hi Jenn, the only numbers that should flash is the time/date setting on the top of the screen. If you see this on any other part of the screen this is not normal activity and you may need to replace the unit. -Joey
