Rated 5 out of 5 by from Baseboard delight redux This is the non-programmable version of the Honeywell 5-2 programmable thermostat that can be bought individually or in a five pack. After I installed four programmeable thermostats for baseboard heaters in common areas of the house, I bought three of these for the bedrooms where I did not need to have variable temperature (always keep those rooms cooler). I found the variable heat output (25-50-75-100%) is great. The thermostats are very precise, and now the rooms are much more comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally satisfied My experience was exactly the same as others who reviewed this product. It is easy to install and maintains very even temperatures in our rooms that have baseboard heaters. A great improvement over our former manual devices that required constant adjustment and still resulted in significant temperature swings. Set it at the desired temperature and that's it. No fuss.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product. I bought 3 to replace some Stelpro manuals and monitered them with an independent thermometer. They were accurate to within less than half a degree. Far superior to the Stelpros.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much more comfortable now! We replaced all of our manual baseboard thermostats with these and WHAT a difference! No more uncomfortable temperature swings... we are now basking in a very comfortable home. We don't sense temperature changes anymore. Hard to believe with baseboard heating, I know. These are easy to program and the display glows for a few seconds so you can adjust them when dark if needed. We are looking forward to the hydro bill as I am sure it will be much much lower this winter... well worth the money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Misrepresented on Home Depot website I bought this thermostat to control a Dimplex fan-forced wall-mounted heater. According to the homedepot.ca website, this thermostat "can be used with electric baseboards, convectors and fan-forced heaters". However, the package says "Compatible with baseboards and convectors" and under "Power" specifies only resistive loads, which tells me that it is NOT suitable for fan-forced heaters, which have an inductive load component produced by the fan motor. I have not installed the thermostat yet, so I don't know whether it works or not. My 1 star rating is based on the fact that it does not appear to meet the specifications advertised on the website. I could not find this specific thermostat on the Honeywell website, so was not able to confirm whether it actually can work with fan-forced heaters. I presume that it is a "special" for Home Depot.
