I did have to use two additional wires which were already in the house but unused. It required use of a transformer which was also already there. Had I not needed to deal with that, it would have Ben a super easy installation.

After change to Honeywell T5, it's just blow hot air all time even though temperature set to 68 and entire business was bring temp to 85. When called customer service, no one ever helped neither no idea why. Now can't return & stuck with product.

So that would be my only complaint, I had to replace it after about 3 years. Other than that it’s easy to set up and works great. I control all of my thermostats from the app on my phone and don’t have any issues

will this work with the Ring App?

Can the screen lock be unlocked using wi-fi from a phone ?

Hi FrankD, it is not possible to unlock the thermostat using a phone, it can only be unlocked directly from the screen. However, even if the screen is locked, you will be able to change the set point or mode using the Resideo app if the thermostat is already registered. The screen lock will only prevent the setting to be changed manually from the screen. - Maria

Compatible with 5ghz wifi? My router is 5ghz only & I'm finding most if not all smart home equipment is 2.4ghz only. Thanks

I currently have two Honeywell T6 non-wifi (Model: TH6210U2001). I am looking to replace these with the T5 wifi therm or T6 Wifi / Zwave models (TH6320ZW2003 or TH6220WF2006). Are these swappable - just pull face unit off wall and plug in new?

Hi adambga12, thank you for your question. You can swap the face plate of any of the T series thermostats, we will just have to make sure that the wiring is compatible. We need to know how many total wires you have and which terminals are being used on your current TH6210U. Feel free to contact our tech support team at (800) 633-3991 or send us a Private Message to our Honeywell Home Facebook account. Once we have verified the compatibility and you install the face plate, you will have to configure the thermostat for your system type. The T6 thermostats Wi-Fi and Z-Wave require an HVAC professional for installation and configuration to keep the 5 years warranty. - Maria
