Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works well but packaging is misleading I purchased this for a 240 fan forced heater. No problems thus far as the packaging says 120/240v on it. BUT, I suspect that for cost-cutting reasons, the marketing geniuses at Honeywell decided to use the same packaging for the ct410a and ct410b. The former has 1 pole and the other has 2. Guess where it says that on the package? Absolutely nowhere. And, they block the rear of the packaging with useless foam, so you can't even check before opening the package. Not putting yourself in the customer's shoes seems to be more and more common, as evidenced by the extremely helpful instructions. I already know how to install one, but for someone who is more of a novice? Next time, I'll do more research on my own before getting to the store. But I will try to find a different company's products, just because this type of thing really irritates me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Honeywell temperature controlled stray cat shelter Thanks to this inexpensive efficient Honeywell thermostat and 100 watt light bulb, Sneaker's (stray cat) outdoor shelter remains at a constant 15 degrees C during the cold winter months. Plenty of food and water but misses human contact. Ongoing project is to find him a loving home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough enough to do the job Very basic but solid, 2 wire mechanical thermostat used for controlling a 120 VAC baseboard heater. Has a solid feel about it. Technically speaking, could be used for other purposes, e.g. controlling receptacle into which portable heaters could be plugged in.

I have three 240 baseboards 1- 10 ft, and 2 - 3 ft. Will this thermostat work to control all three heaters.

Asked by: Scruff
If wired correctly with all three units, it should work. You need to check the amperage of the thermostat and ensure it's more than the total of all 3 units. I suspect you are drawing 500W for 3' & 1500W for 10'. 2500W wired for 240V is just over 10 amps. The breaker also needs to handle this load. I've used these types of thermostats with a single 2500W unit at 240V.

Does this thermostat turn off completly or does it start heater at 5 degrees

Asked by: Doug
Hi there, thanks for your question. The Honeywell Home 2-Wire Electric Baseboard Heat Thermostat does not have an Off mode. It uses a SPST relay to turn your heat on as the temperature falls. The lowest temperature setting for this model is 4 C; if you have your heat at the lowest setting of 4 C, then it will need to fall below 4 degrees to turn your heat on. If you have any additional questions, feel free to give us a call at 1-800-468-1502 and we'll be happy to help!
