Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy, this is a useless product In just over 2 years, the wifi on this thermostat stopped working. I called Honeywell support and they said that the thermostat was out of warranty and that they cannot do anything. They don't sell parts and that I can either buy a new one or use this as a normal thermostat (no wifi). DO NOT BUY this item, instead look for a deal on the nest and invest in it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money It was difficult to set up we had to hire an hvac tech to come out and pay $100. Worked well at first but then the time changed itself and since it’s automatic I could not manually adjust it. It threw off the entire schedule. It seems to constantly disconnect and reconnect to the WiFi throught the day so I just have to hope it’s connected when I’m remotely adjusting it. That’s the whole point of the wifi thermostat for me. Then at one year old the fan started turning on rather then the ac. I live in a very hot place and when the fan turns on it circulated the extremely hot attic air into the house feeling like a heater turning on before the ac would start up. Then it stopped turning the ac on at all and would just turn the fan on ultimately heating up my already hot house. At one year old I’m extremely disappointed to have so many issues and now not working at all. Total waste of money. The hvac company told me they constantly have issues with Honeywell products and recommend I try sensi by Emerson. So that’s my next move as well as a protection plan!

Then one day the wi-fi stopped working, but the thermostat works fine. Spent an hour on the phone with the support technician but no luck. Honeywell will not replace it. I am disappointed that they won't stand behind this product. My next one will probably be a different brand.

Does this thermostat support a heat pump with auxilary heat

Heat pump needs Y Yellow for compressor B/O (Blue for reversing valve) W2 (White for Auxilary heat) G (Green for Fan), and E (for emergency) As well as R (Red 24VAC Hot) and C (Black common 24VAC) Looks to me that this Thermostat is the same as HydroOne Peaksaver Plus. The PeakSaver Plus program did not cover Heat Pumps, I don't know why because a heat pump is the same as central airconditioning.
    Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, Function 17 section 7 in the settings menu.

Are you able to access this via the internet?

Can you view the details of your thermostat from outside your home network? Or can you configure this to work outside your network via router settings?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Yep, from anywhere in the world for that matter. I've made changes to my home thermostat from the car using my cell phone, from work, name it. No need for any special router configuration either.

    What is the "C" wire?

    Asked by: Anonymous
It's the 24V Common wire coming from the furnace. Your thermostat may not have that wire running to it but the furnace should have a terminal for it. It may be labelled "C", "COM", "COM 24V", etc. If you have a spare wire in the wire bundle running to your furnace you may be able to use that, otherwise you may need to run a new wire.
