[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These arrived just in time for my weekend project of replacing a an underground cracked SCH 80 adapter for my city water supply as well as a water pressure regulator and ball valve. The largest grooved pliers I own are an 8 inch so the 10 and 12 inch were perfect to allow me more leverage while working in a confined area (see photo). They fit perfect without stripping and gave a very solid grip on the part. I especially appreciated the rubberized grips. They were a little difficult to adjust one handed but i think they just needed to be broken in. These are made to last and I am sure they will be the last ones I will ever need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great set of pliers, the combination of one large and one small groove joint just means you can tackle almost anything. The adjustment grooves are machined to fit loose enough that you don't have difficulty adjusting the size and tight enough that you know they will not slip or jump to a higher size. Instead of a nut and bolt system, it is a rivet so it will never loosen! The grips have a plastic/rubber handle which works great, is comfortable, solid, and not too soft or porous that would end up being damaged by chemicals, oil, or from use. Great addition to your toolbox!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy duty [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The groove joint pliers or as commonly referred to as channel lock pliers are made to last as they are made from a strong grade of steel and the channels are precise and easy to slide the adjustment into when changing jaw openings. The pliers one twelve inch and the other being ten inch are sizes needed for ninety percent of the jobs done around the home in automotive work and plumbing work. Other trades may need to smaller size pliers like the six inch or four inch which are available. I would recommend these channel lock pliers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Husky two piece Groove Joint Pliers are a great addition to your tool box. I have found so many uses for them as the needs arise. The precision cut teeth really grip well, especially so you won't slip on bolts and strip them. Totally awesome if you have to pull a stripped hinge bolt, the cut teeth don't slide and makes it flawless when pounding them out. They are very well made and will take a lot of abuse as they are so durable. A lifetime warranty is a plus. Having two sizes means you can fix small to very large projects.

The pliers can be manipulated at various sizes to accommodate different sizes of joints with the sliding groove and the handles. They are heavy and seem sturdy. The teeth are well built and seem to be resistant against slips as long as you have a tight hold. It comes in a pack of 2, with 10-12 inches and the 12 inch looks like a good fit for larger joints. An example use for it is installing a shower head or other small plumbing jobs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I selected these pliers because I thought it would be useful to have an extra set. Since I already have a pair of 10" Channellock slip joint pliers and a pair of 12" Craftsman pliers, my review compares these Husky pliers to my older pliers. Ill start with the 10" pliers. The Hurley pliers are heavier weight and have well machined teeth however, fit and finish of the channel locks is much better than the Husky pliers including play around the rivet on the huskey pliers. Overall, the channellocks are the better pliers but the Husky's will do the job in most applications. I found a similar result when comparing 12" Husky vs Craftsman pliers. The Husky pliers had well machined teeth, however when pliers were closed the 2 halves of the nose did not align which make it difficult to hold small items. The fit and finish of the Craftsman far exceeded the Husky pliers so again, my older Craftsman pliers quality exceeds that of the Husky pliers but as with the 10" pliers, the 12" Husky should be fine for most applications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another quality tool. I had a clogged sink drain at my rental and when I got there I realized I only had my 10" slip joint pliers in my bag. Luckily there is a Home Depot less than a five minute drive form my rental. I walked right in and for under $10 for a 12 and 10" set. They were every bit the quality of the craftsman pliers I already had for way less. I like the thought and quality that go in to the Husky brand,and as a bonus a lifetime warranty that I've never had to use on any of my other tools from Husky.

Pliers have nice grips that so far, have not loosened. Jaws make good contact with working parts. Adjusting is easy. These appear to be of a quality that should last for decades with occasional use and several years with daily commercial use. Quality of materials is not high-end, but is very good. They are well worth their cost. Most users will not require anything of higher quality. I recommend.
