Rated 1 out of 5 by from Smoking Motor Just bought this Air Compressor. The Compressor Motor is smoking. I assumed it might be the outlet and the length of wire from the Electric Panel to the outlet so I plugged into other outlets and the motor still smoked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Get rid of frustrated demolition-derby drivers I really like the compressor and I have kept it. However, it was damaged in transit or the warehouse, almost certainly by Home Depot and not by the last-mile shipper (Same Day). I went to the store and received $100 cash-back for my trouble. Amazingly enough I have since bought three Panasonic fans (each at $151+tax) at Home Depot in Burlington and one of these was damaged by handling in spite of excellent packaging design. Your handling people seem to be frustrated demolition-derby drivers. Paul Donders 905 847 8018

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 30 gallons best choice for overall versatility. I use this to operate an air powered pump for water and am very pleased with how it performs. I would advise anyone to go 30 gallon because you can do more with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great buy works great a lot quieter than my portable and the extra connector is a big plus

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Unit for Price Nice portable and compact unit. We use it for separating nested (stacked) plastic pails that get stuck together. When in use, it is used with short air bursts to push the pails apart, but repeated every few seconds during 6 hour shifts. Keeps up and is not too noisy. Happy with the unit a month in, will probably buy another for a spare.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Extremely good but low on power Very good compressor, very quiet and a lot of PSI available.A bit low on power so it takes time to fill up but once it's done you got a big reserve of air before the compressor starts again.I only give 4 stars because of the filling time.Everything else is perfect.

I use 3/8 inch air line. Can I change  the 1/4 quick disconnect on the regulator to 3/8 and would this eliminate any bottle neck at this junction or is the regulator line 1/4 inch ?

Asked by: Bobb
I am currently using 3/8” hose, the supplied quick couplers on the regulator work fine and do not create and “bottle neck” or restricted flow. In my opinion you do not need to change the existing system to use your size of hose. But to answer your question the larger couplers that you want to use would require to have same size NPT threads to fit the regulator.

could you use to blow out irrigation systems

Asked by: bill
Yes. This air compressor should be able to provide more than enough air flow to blow out an irrigation system. However, this 113L (30 Gal.) compressor has an air delivery rating of 5.1 SCFM @ 90 PSI and 6.8 SCFM @ 40 PSI, and a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI. Please check with the manufacturer of your irrigation system to confirm what air delivery and PSI is best recommended for your application.

I have a 3-4 yr old 30 gallon Husky 175 PSI compressor. It has been getting slower and slower to fill for the last 6 months or so. I drain it regularly. Clean filter. Can't find anything on the internet that relates to my issue. Help? Suggestions? Opinion

Asked by: robbie
The issue could be with worn components inside the pump. If you want to see if the pump is performing correctly, try following the steps below. 1. Locate the intake filter of the compressor. 2. Turn compressor on. 3. Place a sheet of paper against the openings of the intake filter. 4. If the pump is performing correctly, the paper should be pulled against the intake filter and there should be a noticeable difference in the sound of the motor. 5. If the paper does not want to stay in contact with the filter and if the sound of the compressor motor does not change this means there is an issue with the compression ring, valves, or gaskets inside the pump. 6. If the paper stays pulled up against the intake filter and the motor sound changes, the pump is performing OK. This would mean there could be leaks somewhere on the compressor.
