Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Had a USA MADE Husky Ratchet From a 1996 Set and got it warrantied receiving a Chinese replacement at Home Depot. Didn't even get that one out of the store because it locked up & stopped turning. Got another one which has a loose head & worked untill I started using it every day then it did the same thing as the last one . So back to the store again to get the 3rd Chinese Ratchet ,well this one lasted about a Month. So back to the store again to get a full refund & go get a real Ratchet somewhere else ! Beware of this tool , USA TOOLS ARE THE WAY TO GO !!!

The reason I bought this one is because it feels solid or at least more solid than other top leading brands. The ratcheting system does not feel sloppy and weak and it seems to have solid engagement plus it has a lifetime warranty. This 3/8" ratchet is replacing a 20+ year old, made in America, great working, solid ratchet (I lost it) so it was hard to find a reasonably priced solid feeling replacement. I recently had to return a 20+ year old 1/2" drive well known brand ratchet to a store that the name starts with a S and ends with an s and the brand starts with a C and ends with an n and was/am very disappointed with the new tool because it felt cheap and the ratcheting mechanism is wobbly / loose and does not feel like it will last very long. This Husky ratchet seems to be good quality and feels like it might last a while.

A problem you run into with ratchets is that they can be a little flimsy, rattle around a bit, which is unacceptable during certain jobs and tasks. This ratchet does not do that. This is well made and sturdy, gets the job done and can take a beating. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Today, I found out that I've been doing things the wrong way all these years. The manual way. I was introduced to every lazy man's must have tool. Now, I too can be a proud lazy man with this beautiful tool.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for light duty jobs Not very durable, I have been using this for a few year's with no problems until I tried taking off lug nuts on a car tire and it stripped the gear inside. At least I can get a free replacement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Typical Ratchet I was in a hurry when I purchased this ratchet. This tool does not have the finger wheel to start the tightening process. Very important when you can not use two hands on a ladder. The ratcheting mechanism was a little loose as well. I would not purchase one of these again.

I have a Husky 3/8 ratchet model 22202 model number made in the USA, can I get a replacement for this of the same model number or at least replace the ratchet gear parts since it no longer turns and slips. My concern is this ratchet is more of a tight fit being a USA made unit and rather not get a ratchet replacement that is not as good as this on has been for me, being a older good USA unit.

If you google this subject you will find many brands and quality rating. How do I reverse the ratchet to loosen a bolt

Asked by: Seb1234
Seb1234, on the head of the ratcheting you will see a rectangular protion that says push. If you push this it it releases the socket. If you twist this it will change from clockwise ratcheting to counter clockwise ratcheting.

Unusual question - can anyone provide the dimensions of this wrench? Specifically the width/diameter and the depth of the head (excluding the knob and the square drive), the depth and width of the knob, the depth of the square drive, and the depth and width of the handle (the section of the handle nearest to the head). The total depth of the head (including the knob and the square drive) would also be nice for verification. The reason I am asking this is I'm planning on using this wrench (after sawing off most of the handle) to prevent a motor backdriving in both directions, using a servo to turn the knob and switch the direction. I considered other options (e.g. self-locking worm drive) and came to the conclusion that this is likely the cheapest option. I need the dimensions to consider viability of using this wrench in the design.
