The specs on this hose regarding temperature range were intriguing, so I gave it a shot. I use it in my 48 X 48' pole barn, and no longer have to drag my compressor around to reach my projects. This air hose worked flawlessly. The bright color (prevents me from running over it) the pre-attached fittings, the non-kink feature combined with the solid feeling of the hose itself were far above expectations at high pressure limits. Another great product from the Home Depot!

The weight and flexibility are great for a 100 foot hose. It didn't kink with pressure and resists kinks without, and hybrid means rubber and pvc together without either smell. I used this with a heavy framing nailer and it performed great with 120 psi constant. I always recommend swivels on hoses and/or tools. It makes them seem lighter and easier to use. One thing it did not glow under black light but it should suffice in case of a "Z.A."

I never have any issues with kinking or having difficulty rolling it up. There is only one complaint I have. It has a very strong chemically, rubbery smell. Of course that has no effect on how it works. I don't know if that is common with this particular item. I would still recommend it for someone else to purchase, but the smell still bothers me. As an example, I had a job a couple hours away. I either had to have the window down or stop because the smell of this hose was so bad. Despite that, I am happy with the hose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and Lightweight [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 3\8" air hose replaces a 1\4" rubber\cloth hose assembly that has always been problematic in flexibility, weight and durability. The additional ID certainly carries more cf of air to my rotating pneumatic tools, giving me more power and consistent time in operation. Overall, the lighter weight, extra flexibility and more robust and durable exterior are far superior with what I've been struggling with. The end protective sleeves are a nice addition, but do not allow as easy a bend on my air hose reel assembly. However, the florescent green color is a welcomed ergonomic and safety feature that minimizes trip hazardous!

Never in all my year have i seen an air hose, rope, string, water hose, spaghetti noodle, etc kink and bind up as badly as this hose does. It is no exaggeration when someone says it takes 15 minutes to work the kinks out of this stupid thing. I've worked with 200ft lengths of industrial water hose that isnt as fussy as this thing. It does reliably transport air from your tank to your tool 100ft away, but its such a hassle trying to untangle this mess that Im almost willing to dish out the $0.75 at the gas station for their air. That will definitely save me time. This hose will be shelved until i find a reliable way to get it laid out or I buy another brand which will hopefully work out better.

I have had them for a few months now and I have not had any trouble with either one. They are flexible and coil and uncoil easily. I recommend when you get them to stretch them out and let them lay stretched over night. It has bend restrictors on the ends that I feel are really going to help with the cracking like other hoses do. The bright color is great and really helps with preventing trips and falls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more connecting multiple hoses to reach down my driveway [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] High visibility and light weight, just what I wanted in an air hose. I have some old shop grade hoses and they weigh about twice what this weighs for a 25 foot section. After dragging this hose around this weekend it didn't show any wear from my rough driveway. I put this on a hand crank reel and it makes it easy to pull out when I need to reach something down the driveway and much less work when it is time to clean up. The ends have a nice grip and brass fittings that easily sealed to quick couplers simple tool change. Just a tip, use the universal couplers, with the yellow and red stripe, and you wont have to worry what type of connector is on the tool.

Max air pressure capacity?

Hi, I claims a maximum rating of 300 psi, that is what is on the box. I have never gone over 150 psi. I hope this helps.

I bought this for my compressor and framing nail gun and the connection for hose to compressor and to gun are not right

Hi Bryan, you will need 1/4" NPT fittings (couplers and plugs) to connect the hose to your compressor and tools. Most users put a female plug on the end of the hose that connects to the compressor, and a coupler on the compressor. On the tool side of the hose, you would use a female coupler. Your tool should have a port on it to allow a 1/4" NPT male plug, but may require a 1/2" to 1/4" adapter.

Tom, the I.D. of the fittings is roughly a 1/4". The threads are 1/4" NPT and then the O.D. of the barb in the hose is 3/8" to match the I.D. of the hose. Therefore the I.D. of the fitting is about 1/4".
