Rated 2 out of 5 by from I do not recommend this product This nail gun did not work long enough to get dirty. It's sitting useless in my garage alongside the other Husky nail gun that doesn't work. The quality of Husky products is very bad and I spend more time returning them to Home Depot than it's worth. The company also changes their products enough that spare parts are hard to come by.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price Remove the tip protector or it won't drive a 3" nail all the way into the wood. The exhaust is not adjustable. Galvanized, ring shank nails seem to jam in this nailer. All other nails I've used work great. Buy this if you only have one job to do, otherwise go to the next price level. Depth adjuster works great. This gun can barely fit between studs that are 16" on center so I find it cumbersome to frame properly with it.

I have never been a fan of the bump firing which you can select between bump nailing and single nail. When I tried bump nailing, this nail gun likes to hop and double fire. I just don't use that setting. The swivel adapter is super nice. I have been shooting harbor freight nails. I have gone through two boxes without a jam. This says a lot about the quality of this nailgun.

This is a review of the HUSKY Model DPFR34909 pneumatic framing [3.5"] nailer. It never seems to end ... so many formats of framing nailers: the three main factors: angle, collation, and head type. [And then when I measure the Paslodes marked "30" they actually measure "34"!] So this one comes along and covers a broader range than customary ... it'll shoot angles from 30-to-34 degrees having clipped or full heads [though I had to call CS to be told the latter]. Pros. gimballed air connection; bot clipped and full head; grip and balance okay at *= lbs loaded; easy change between single and sequential firing; Uses smooth shanks 2"-3.5"; screw shanks 2"-3", and ring shanks 2"-3" all having diameters from 0.113" to 0.131". Operates from 70-115 psi [you'll probably want to set it at 100]. One of the "features" listed is "ANTI-DRY FIRING DESIGN" but I couldn't find anything describing that feature. Cons. awkward loading; only paper-collated nails can be use ...not plastic, not wired [but I guess that would be asking too much]. Longest of my three brands of framers [21.5" v 20 v 19]. Clearing jams worst among my three framing nailers. Portions of 7-page manual in broken English [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

First off make sure you can get nails for the gun you choose in your local area. I live in California now and clipped head nails are not used here. Thankfully I can order them but you can not use them for framing homes. I install fencing and had lots of leftover clipped head nails for my old gun that got lost in the move. The gun came setup and ready to use, it even had a swivel air chuck so I didn't have to add one. The nails load easily and the trigger settings are easy to see and select. I used it for a while on the single trigger setting just to get the feel of the gun but quickly switched to bump to speed up. My helper handed me boards as fast as he could and we had the fence done in no time. So far no jams but clearing them seems straight forward. Now I just need to remember to order nails ahead of time. The Husky 34 degree Corded Pneumatic Clipped Head Framing Nailer is a good sturdy nailer to have. The housinf is made of magnesium to be as lightweight as possible. The nailer drives 30°-34° clipped head framing nails from 2 in. to 3 1/2 in. in length. The select fire trigger lets you easily switch from single fire to bump fire mode with a flip of a switch. The depth of the nail can be adjusted without the need of tools. There is a wheel that is turned to adjust depth. The no-mar tip is there to protect softer woods and is removable. Remember to read the manual before using to understand your tool. The instructions are clear and very understandable. I like the feel of the nailer in my hand. The rubber grip is of a nice size. Overall a very nice tool that I would recommend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

What are the optimal air pressure and volume (psi/cfm) to operate this gun? Why isn't it shown in details?

    Asked by: Greg
Optimal air pressure for the Framing nailer is between 80 – 115psi. Minimum of a 5 to 6 gallon is recommended to provide the necessary amount of air volume to use the framing nailer without the compressor needing to constantly run.
