My one complaint with it is the locking collet feels like is grinding a tiny bit once in a while as you turn the handle. That could just be my unit, and it’s not a problem at all, just not a nice sound to hear.

Are replacement latches available anywhere? I'd be happy to pay for a pair. PS My original latches are fine, but I want more anyway.

Torque wrench is a manual tool so you can use any regular socket on it. You need impact sockets for impact power tools who can deliver 300+ ft-lbs or torque at high speeds.

The torque setting for my Toyota Tacoma lug nuts is 83 ft. lbs. This 1/2 torque wrench only has even numbers. I have tried to put the setting half way between 82 and 84 to get 83 but the lock ring doesn't seem to lock in place. Should i use 82 or 84?

Doesn’t matter one way of the other.  I always go bigger than smaller.  But a lug stud will never know the difference either way.

My car needs 89 ft lbs torque. This torque wrench I just purchased today DOES NOT able lock at 89 ft lbs but 90 ft lbs or 88 ft lbs. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Vicky
Vicky, This wrench locks in at even number increments. You can select one Ft./lbs. above your odd number setting and use the wrench as the instructions state and you should have no problems on your workpiece.

I just purchased this torque wrench! it’s 50ftlbs to 250ftlbs but how come it has settings lower than 50 ft lbs?? it can go to 30 ft lbs but why?

Asked by: EJJJJ
EJJJ, Due to the mechanics of 'click' style torque wrenches, we can only certify the accuracy in the upper 80% of the wrenches range, for this wrench that range in 50-250 ft./lbs.
