It works great for a back of the truck storage solution. It helps keep my tire chains and other emergency type stuff dry and dirt free in the back of my truck. My only gripe is it’s just barely not tall enough to hold a 5qt jug of oil standing upright otherwise it’s perfect for me.

Hi, The picture shows a width of 18.30 but the Assembled Width (in inches) is 5.69 according to the specifications. I'm confused at what are the measurement.

In practical terms, the inside of the container dimensions are 24" L x 15" W x 10.5" deep. From a stacking point of view, the outside of the container measures 27" L x 18 W x 12 H.

There are three holes on each long side, seemingly for bungee, rope, padlock or security cable attachment. What prevents rain from getting into the contents if they are used for outdoor camping storage or if they are sitting in the bed of a pickup?

Dear Customer, This is a great question! This storage container is great for outdoor use and does have slots to use for locking or tie down channels. However, this container does not have a water seal gasket included to prevent water from coming in if left outside.
