Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective table, major flaw If you are checking these reviews and decide to still purchase the workbench, upon opening your product CHECK THE PRE-DRILLED HOLES on the bottom of the table first. After wasting my evening assembling the work bench I struggled with the last steps of adding the stiffeners to the front and back of the table. With a few attempts and no luck I came online to check the reviews, and discovered many people purchasing this workbench are discovering the same issue. I was excited to see this workbench on sale from $380.00 to $265.00, upon discovering this major flaw, I am convinced it's not a coincidence these tables were on sale and Home Depot is trying to get rid of their faulty products.

I replaced the (included) adjustable feet with (not included) casters to make the bench even better. If you choose to do this too, the threaded insert for the feet is metric 12-1.75. But your casters to match or do what I did: but casters that have a 3/4-16 stem and replace it with a 12-1.75 bolt. It will work fine. Can't blame Husky or Home Depot for not including these since descent ones would add at least $75 to the price. But at $300, pretty good buy. If I tried to build this myself, I would easily spend $300 and spend a lot of time only to end up with something that probably wouldn't be as nice.

But offering initial thoughts. Set up was easy and simple. Overall seems to be of good quality and build. I really like the thick and finished top. Provides a very solid surface to work on. I would comment that the legs are a little "thin" from a material stand point, as when you tighten the bolts for height adjustment, you need to only 'snug' them as they will suck in and buckle the leg, making it hard to adjust height later. Should you need to do so. I'll follow up later on after more time and use, should there be any additional feed back that is needed

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The table bits are all very sturdy and well finished.... The table bits are all very sturdy and well finished. The work surface itself is a super strong laminate and finished with tons of polyurethane. The problem is that the front and rear rails were not drilled properly to fasten to the bottom of the work surface. It's almost like the mixed the parts up between two different tables. As I already had it assembled in my shop I decided to just live with the lack of extra rigidity. Schlepping this thing all the way back to Home depot and dealing with a crowded Covidy store wasn't going to happen.

It's a workbench after all, right? But pulled the trigger and happy I did. Really solid. Went together quickly. All holes aligned well. No cross threaded nuts. Very nice. Went with the casters TomG recommends. Perfect fit and make this workbench unbeatable. I see why folks use it inside. Not mine. It will work hard. Already is. Added a shelf along bottom rails. 1 inch pine works but pretty much maxed out on weight.

I did the full assembly by myself and I am 72. It is fairly heavy. Instructions are good but pay attention. Make sure youidentify the front and back of the wood top because the spacing of the bolt holes is different. Also, the legs can be attached two ways and only one way is correct so look closely at the legs and attach them according to the instructions. If you attach one leg or both legs incorrectly, you will have to take it apart and reattach correctly. Good quality parts; I was impressed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst manufacturing I've seen from a Husky product. This unit is on sale for a reason. The two main issues I had with this are the adjustable legs and the pre drilled holes for the stabilizers. One of the adjustable legs was either welded wrong or had misaligned holes, so would not align up at all. This was not a deal breaker yet as I was going to see if I could get a replacement. I also noticed, after coming back from reading a review, that the pre drilled holes for the stabilizers were in different areas- I didn't think much of this at first thinking the stabilizer bars were made to fit the way they were drilled. Nope. It looks like the table was placed wrong or the preprogrammed drill program was off during manufacturing as you'll see in my pictures. It's about 2 inches off. You might get lucky and get a good bench at a great price, but you might get one like mine and have to return it after spending a lot of time trying to figure it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty Design Solid design. Easy to assemble. Replaced the adjustable foot pads with a set of Home Depot Everbilt 4-inch casters. (SKU 251390) Caster 7/16-14 thread is very close to foot pad M12-1.75 thread pattern. Insert until caster bearing cap contacts each leg. No jam nut required.

If I don't need height adjustment, should I just get the fixed leg version (#G7200S1-US)? But that version doesn't look as sturdy it's missing some cross-leg support bars and the legs have one side that is opened (not sure if that affects my plan to add casters). Trying to figure out why this version is $75 more and 40+ pounds heavier.

What is the clearance under the table? I know it is adjustable but what is the measurement from the top of the wood surface to the bottom of the steel frame just below the wood?
Asked by: Jim
Jim... If I understand you correctly, the wood top measures 1 1/4" thick and the metal frame that the top sits on is 2 3/4" vertically when measured from the front. This totals 4" including the top and frame... I love this work bench!
