Rated 4 out of 5 by from The magnets that hold the brackets onto a metal surface... The magnets that hold the brackets onto a metal surface are not strong enough. It is not hard to dislodge a towel roll and then one bracket will fall off and strike the floor. I’m mounting my brackets onto the side of a refrigerator and cannot drill through the appliance in order to use nuts & bolts, but that’s the only was to prevent the towel rack from falling. My refrigerator surface is intentionally painted with a pitted/mottled finish, so this might partially explain the problem. I would advise any potential buyer to test the brackets while in store on the same type of surface that they will be mounted on in your home or shop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A convenient way to keep a roll of paper towels close to the work area, even if one has a permanently attached holder somewhere else in the shop, this holder (comprising two arms with magnetic bases) easily stick to the side of one’s tool cabinet (or any other magnetic surface). The magnetic bases have a nor-mar surface, to avoid damage to the surface to which it is mounted. A simple addition to the shop which will save some steps, by having the paper towels at hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A magnetic mount paper towel holder can be hung where a regular one can’t. I immediately thought of my garage where I could hang it from my freezer or metal cabinets. I wound up letting it hang from one of the cabinets. Previously, I just had a roll of paper towels sitting on my work bench that I would end up moving from place to place. Now they stay put where I always know where they are. The distance from the base to the center point of the knob holder is 5.25” which is plenty of room for even the largest jumbo sized roll. That would be up to a 10.5” wide roll. The two pieces of the holder allow you to adjust the tension on the roll by how close you place them together. I keep them tight so that it holds the roll still while I tear a sheet off with one hand. The magnets are that strong. And, since they’re covered with rubber, that frees you to hang it anywhere without worrying that it might damage the surface. This is a great accessory for your garage or shop.

While it's a simple product and does what it's supposed to, they could have made it much more practical if they had made it adjustable. Even using a "mega" sized roll of paper towels, there was still a LOT of empty space between the towel roll and the wall; it made it so the paper towels were sticking out WAY too far and unnecessarily taking up additional space. I drilled an extra set of holes in mine and now the paper towel roll fits much better. They could either drill additional holes or even just make a long slot to allow for "infinite" adjustments. In the included photos, you will see the original holes near the edge of the holder, whereas the holes currently in use are the ones that I drilled myself. If I had left the product unmodified, the paper towels would be dangling quite far from the wall. Without mod = 3/5 stars; with mod = 5/5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't really know I needed a magnetic paper towel holder. However, when I saw this I figured I had the perfect place for it in my workshop. Easy to install; no drilling required! Can be used horizontally or vertically. I'm impressed how strong the magnets are, they won't move when tearing off individual sheets of paper towels & when the roll is empty the replacement is easy. I don't believe there will be any issue with this in my lifetime.

Both ends are individual and and can be use with any length paper towel roll. The magnets are strong and adheres well to any metal surface. Even when tearing off a sheet the holder doesn't move a bit. I can probably use it for small rolls of wire as well. Great addition to my my garage/shop.

Two magnetic pieces that hold a roll of paper towels and let you magnetically stick it on something....simple elegance and practical design. I currently have it I. The side of my spare refrigerator, and (when needed) move it I to my garage and attach to the side of my wheeled tool box. So useful and easy to move. I love this thing!

Why does the picture with the roll of paper towels on it show a rod going all the way through but the description doesn't say it comes with that?
