Can I use a 14mm socket with this tool? I have limited hand strength, and I believe this device will enable me to easily remove/replace the blade on my battery powered lawnmower (no spilled gas).
Asked by: winterlilycat
Hey winterlilycat, It uses a 1/2in. drive, while there is no 14mm included any 1/2in. drive 14mm socket would work with the lug nut wrench set. Thanks!

Asked by: be
Hey Be, This set does not have a torque wrench. To tighten the lug nut to 140 ft/lbs you would need a 1/2 drive torque wrench. Thanks!

I see 2 pins in the middle of the leverage bar, presumably to hold it in place in the drive bar. But the hole in the drive bar is threaded, note really a mating shape for the ball shaped pins in the leverage bar. In any case, is it a tight enough to keep the leverage bar centered in the drive bar if it is spun to quickly remove a lug nut?
Asked by: DavidAZ
Seems to be. The threaded end seems to be just to provide friction for the t-bar application. The ball closest to that end drops, allowing cross bar action. But the next ball seems to lock in place and not allow slippage further up the handle.

The threads do not fit into the other piece. Slides right through. What is the point of this?

Same question as Keith. It appears as thought the screw end goes into the x-bar? But it slides thru. Is it designed to do this? Only "holding" when pressure is applied? Seems strange. And nothing in the "literature" on back about this. Please clarify. Ian on this site to get answers... or I will return it and look for something more useful. Thank you.
Asked by: jeff
Seems the threads on the 'socket bar' only keep it at the end of the 'drive bar' in a holding condition. You don't want the two pieces to disengage while your applying leverage. If the 'socket bar' didn't slide over the 'drive bar' you couldn't use the lug wrench in the cross condition. dCb

I would think that the answer would be yes with an extension and the socket.
